So I normally play a titan but I do also play on my hunter and warlock on occasion and a few days ago when the legend lost sector was giving out the boots I went to try and fet a good stat roll of lucky pants because of the buff they had recently received.
Spoiler alert didn't get it.
Today I go looking through my vault to grab a set of lion ramparts and see peacekeepers.
For the uninformed, peacekeepers are a set of titan exotic leg armor that reloads any stowed smg and allows you to move faster and ready them instantly very similar to how lucky pants used to be.
So my question is: why didn't the peacekeepers get a similar buff like lucky pants? We have mods now that reload stowed weapons we have dexterity mods to help with handling so it honestly doesn't make to much sence why nothing and why noone has mentioned this legs.
Like with the mods we have these don't even feel like they are exotic. I dont know about yall but I haven't seen anyone use these at all, like ever.
TL;DR buff peacekeepers because I'd be willing to bet my kidney that in the top 5 least used exotic armor peices in the game.
Edit; okay I may have missed the bottom tree striker titan usage i don't usually run bottom tree striker because well yeet titans exist.

9 RepliesEdited by mikeyrox1234: 9/19/2021 3:53:15 PMThis is from someone that pretty much exclusively uses the Peacekeepers… I agree. They are very good at what they do but they were designed for the double primary weapon system which means that are massively outdated. Still good but outdated. I’ve made multiple posts suggesting some buffs for the Peacekeepers but they have never caught on and I don’t expect this one to catch on either. As I said I do believe that they deserve a buff but not one similar to what the Lucky Pants got. Lore wise the Lucky Pants buff fits, it wouldn’t fit the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers were essentially Police Officers for the Last City. Which means, at least to me, a buff for the Peacekeepers should promote a crowd control type of style. I honestly think that Bungie forgot about this Exotic as well… They were a Year 1 Day 1 Exotic and they have YET to get an ornament! My Proposal: Mecha Light Holster Stowed SMGs and Sidearms are instantly reloaded and are readied instantly. Improves Handling and Movement with SMGs and Sidearms. Minions of Darkness kills while an SMG or Sidearm is stowed will fill the magazine with Anti-Barrier Suppressor rounds. Suppressor Rounds will instantly Suppress any enemy hit for 3 seconds. I’m ALWAYS down to read some other idea though! I seriously love this Exotic!

7 RepliesFair trade. You get a peacekeeper buff, and a Stompeez gets to shock anyone within a 2 mile radius every time they melee someone.

Mechaneers tricksleeves sit in the corner…

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 9/20/2021 9:17:52 AMSeriously Arc Titan, Pulse Grenades + Peacekeepers + Full Auto Farewell/3 burst Peacebond + Tarrabah = Dirty!

6 RepliesAt this point, i want a weapon-focused exotic for warlock. Hunters already 3 have and titans have 2.
-
I would be scared if bungie touches peacekeepers they will mess them up. They give way more benefits than most people know and are S+ tier when rocking a smg.
-
They are wicked strong as is. The speed boost is amazing and never reloading dual smg’s is unreal, plus it basically gives them snapshot. I’ve been messing around with them and the harmony perk. Get a kill swap with harmony active, get more kills, swap kill, swap with harmony active…..
-
Peacekeepers are strong as is. Bottom tree striker + peacekeepers + tarrabah is one of the best solo builds in the game right now Yeah, you can sub in Dunemarchers instead but let's be honest, if you're not already using Dunemarchers it's just for fun. Any buff to Peacekeepers wouldn't put them above Dunemarchers without being broken (seeing as Dunemarchers are very boarderline)

9 RepliesBecause a titan isn't a hunter and hunters get priority treatment

I honestly expect them, Oathkeeper, and Stronghold to get the Lucky Pants treatment after this season. I kind of feel like they tested the idea on Lucky Pants.

1 ReplyRunning twin smg's with peacekeepers will mean you always have a loaded smg when you swap - don't see what more they'd need?
-
There’s a lot of hidden buffs peacekeepers give you. It’s not just ready speed and autoloading, even with those two they’re way better than dexterity mods and holster mods. The instant ready is faster than +100 handling and the autoloading holster reloads after a second of stowing it, I’m pretty sure it has a cooldown so you can’t spam it.

3 RepliesI have also made this point. But as bungie said..this was the FIRST batch of exotic buffs. We are getting more. Peacekeepers in my opinion should double the mag size of any SMG stowed for 5 seconds and make them fire 10RPM faster for the first 3 seconds. Could you imagine that with huckleberry. Also tricksleeves and foetracer/knucklehead need a buff. For titan they should buff the auto chestplate to work with trace rifles. For warlock.. Winters guile. Blink helmet.
-
A flat damage buff to all SMG's would be too similar to lucky pants. Don't peacekeepers drastically increase your movespeed while holding an SMG? Bungie should double down on that
-
The buffs that peacekeepers give are far better than dexterity and holster mods, not to mention they don't take up armour points, and on top of that massive movement buffs.
-
Very reasonable request with extremely valid points. I approve.

I agree. Peacekeepers are interesting in concept (and good at what they do), but they could use a buff.
