I was really looking forward to the new exotic for titans as well as the buff to precious scars and I had even thought of what kind of setup I would pair with it. I am now left feeling disappointed and jealous because the other classes get to play with their reworked or buffed exotics and Titans got nothing. Both exotics that were supposed to get buffed feel like a slight tweak rather than and actual buff. I don't want to say it but it feels like they didn't really test the Titan's exotics before they went through and changed them. They plan on continuing to buff and change exotics over time but why did this season have to be such a bad one for titans. They are just going to have to buff these again. This is how I think they should have changed Precious Scars and Icefall Mantle or how they can change them from here. Icefall Mantle: The lack of mobility makes sense for the theme and balances the exotic out for crucible but isn't practical for pvp or pve after you are done with an engagement. The issue I find with it is that if I get hit once after dealing with enemies in a strike for example and I still have the overshield I am stuck with it for 20 seconds and can't get rid of it unless I hurt myself. I can barely traverse the terrain and I can get behind. I honestly think that allowing us to cancel the shield would greatly improve the exotic for both pve and pvp. Precious Scars: what everyone thought would be the buff was a healing pulse such as the one for crest of alpha lupi which gives you health for shields as well. This was not the case. Instead Precious Scars gives you only health while also increasing the rate at which you recover your health and shields, which is at the same rate as max recovery. But do not get confused, the recovery you get is not the same as the armor stat. While you recover your health at the same rate as max recovery the delay for when you start to regenerate health after taking damage is still based on your own recovery. For example if I am running 10 recovery, if I get a kill my health will recover very fast however if I am hit when I get the kill it will take me too long to start recovering and so the buff will wear out before my health starts to regen and therefore it becomes useless. Two things Bungie can do to buff this exotic is either give a healing pulse like crest for a certain amount of kills similar to unrelenting or they can improve on what the already have and increase the time that the buff stays active when getting a kill and reducing the time it takes to start regenerating. I love both of these exotics and wanted to actually use them and feel like they were worth something and was highly disappointed maybe they will get a buff at some point that will make them useful.
