I’m interested to know the timeline of events during the dark age. What characters that we know of know were first brought back to life? When did they meet? How long before the creation of the city? How long after the creation of the city did the battle of 6 fronts take place?
I just imagine a single player ODST style DLC where you play as characters like Zavala or Saladin meeting each other forming the last city and in the last mission it would be the battle of 6 fronts leading to the creation of “Guardians” I would kill for a single player campaign that takes place during the dark age leading up to that battle.

The first time?, or the time that brings them into the current timeline of memory?

1 ReplyI always think bungie should make a prequel were we play a dark age risen. The main story plot could revolve around the battles between the the iron lords and the war lords and we could choose to join one of these factions or other small factions.

Saladin is from the dark ages and is one of the earlier risen. More impressively he's still alive. Really really short list of survivors from those times. It's like: Saladin Lady Efrideet Shaxx Drifter Shin Malphur That's all I can remember atm. To actually answer your question though, Saladin is confirmed older than Zavala who is rezzed by his ghost Targe just before the city age. Saladin is Zavala's mentor and there's a lot of great lore about their relationship.

Ive always thought saladin first because it is said that he mentored zavala and shaxx

There is no solid timeline. Saladin and Shaxx were revived before Zavala for sure. In the trailer involving Zavala showed that by the time he was revived and made it to the Traveler, the City was already forming. It was just an encampment really at that point. Eventually we will get more info

I’m not sure of exact timelines but Saladin and Shaxx were definitely brought back first. Saladin being and iron lord and Shaxx being a warlord were among the “risen”, What the resurrected were called before the vanguard and guardians were established. However all 3 were there to help start the last city. Each of them were there to witness the wall being built if not helping themselves. Again not sure of the timeline but the lore states that “The battle of the Six fronts was the earliest of the battles fought by the last city. Four orders of Titans protected the newly constructed walls of the city against the invading fallen

If I had to take a guess I’d say Saladin, there are countless records of the Iron Lords throughout the Dark Age , with most including Saladin, however there a few of Zavala Also when Destiny 2 was revealed they showed a trailer of Zavala and the growth of the city. From that trailer it seemed that himself and his ghost were dead set on finding the traveller and uniting with the camp made beneath it where it was safe. In this trailer Shaxx is also spotted with his Dark Age armour. There are also Lore entries of Shaxx , in his warlord days , owning a castle with a couple dozen inhabitants. Felwinter attempted to save these inhabitants from Shaxx as Shaxx denied joining the iron lords ,however Shaxx was described to be more accepting and more kind than most warlords (If you know who Citan is that’s saying a lot) and that the Castle was safe also. Meaning if Shaxx was spotted at the encampment under the traveller that must mean that he surely brought his people there too. Strength in numbers and all that. I believe this was toward the end of the Dark age and just at the cusp of the Age of the City On top of all this the Speaker is also present to which unified the people to some degree TL;DR - Zavala must’ve been resurrected just at the very end of the Dark Age ,whereas Saladin lived through most , if not all of it

2 RepliesSaladin, then likely Shaxx (but not much later), then Zavala. Remember that Saladin and the Iron Lords fought the Warlords, of which Shaxx was one. Zavala never participated in the fight against the Warlords. When he came around things had calmed down and bigger settlements started to grow. Shaxx was a Warlord himself, and still considers himself one too, so he was obviously around when the Iron Lords and the Warlords duked it out. Furthermore, in the cinematic of Zavala's past we can see Zavala walk into a young settlement in which the, then, Speaker was preaching under the traveller and in the background we can see Shaxx, not out for blood. So it's: Saladin -> Shaxx ------> Zavala

Hard to say. There was a lot of time before the city where guardians just kinda did whatever trying to Figure out what the bell they were alive for.
