She speaks a lot of truth, but , when she.... avoids the truth its a lie. Yes?
Not that she avoids questions, I just think she only says the things that are indeed factual, but lacking context intentionaly to weave a narrative.

1 ReplyEdited by KannibalKlown: 9/16/2021 10:32:27 PMIt depends. One can speak nothing but true statements and still mislead. It’s a fun side plot or theme in a series of books I read called the Dresden Files. The Faye race are physically incapable of saying outright lies, but they can mislead the hell out of people with their truths. When Savuthun re narrates her actions to you in one of your seasonal conversations. She’s technically correct in what she did. She stopped you from talking to the darkness, she brought Crow to the city and protected him, she exposed Lakshmi, etc. But. How we never hear any verifiably true motives for doing that. Nor if she was doing things in the background potentially worse. Did she want to protect the City, or did she manipulate Lakshmi to get rid of her ability to see the future. Keep in mind Lakshmi and the citizens were SINGING SAVUTHUNS SONG… so it’s likely she had more to do with that mini rebellion than she admits. Did she want to protect crow? Or use him as a bargaining chip, if not a pawn she could move around. When I was a kid and my parents what I did last night. I’d tell the truth: did my homework and went to see some friends, watched a movie, and came back. All of that happened. Did I say I half arsed my homework? No Did I say what ELSE we did besides watching movies? Hell No Technically I told the truth. But I also mislead them.

The longer I listen to her the more I think she tells the truth most of the time. When she does lie it’s by omission. She exposes more secrets than she keeps for the most part. Aside from revealing what she is going to do in the witch queen expansion she has definitely told us more than she needed to.

32 RepliesNo. She hasn’t avoided the truth. All she has spoken of is the truth. There are no heroes. No villains. Simple truth of the universe. We are all just simply trying to find our way through our lives. Trying to survive. There are no heroes. No villains. No good or bad.
