Penalties for rage quitting in Trials

Edited by Bad jewjew: 3/30/2024 3:20:30 PMI know I'm late to this but I think newer players and players about to rage quit could benefit from a warning prompt before leaving. Example: (are you sure you would like to leave the match, you won't be able to play again this week if you leave) then you click you respective y/n buttons. I was playing my first trials match in 2 years yesterday and left by accident because I didn't realize my finger was on the button to go back to orbit. A prompt could of saved me from this just as it could save a ragequitter if they knew what the punishment was.

Yea well I played trials fireteam 1 player but it keep putting me against clans if I'm goin get suspended for leaving they should get banned for network hacking

I was just about to get my 5th straight win an my internet cut off for a quick min an my opinion if uve been flawless more then once Stop playing trials I've never been flawless before in D1 or D2 so the importance of going flawless to yall "500+ flawless runs" needs to stop an let the ones who have never been flawless before in D1 or D2 get the chance to go flawless

2 RepliesNo they should be worse. A 24 hour ban. Two things 1. Quitting comp is one thing, but quitting trials affects a team with say 5-6 wins and they have to start over. Don’t let that person back in. 2. Bungie needs a detection mechanism first to determine was the person kicked or they quit. That’s very important.

5 RepliesWould say 3 quits locks you out of ANY reward drops and ANY loot at all for that weekend. If it's multiple weeks of doing this. Permaban from activity as a whole. Seems pretty fair.

3 RepliesQuit once- You are suspended until the next week of trials. Quit again- Month ban from Trials. 3rd strike- You're out until the next DLC. Quitting is a huge detriment to your team and their game play experience, and should be treated as such.

One round enemies are taking damage. The next, they are in god mode, and you die the instant they show up on your screen. Players aren't going to stick around to be cannon fodder. They're going to bounce and I don't blame them.

Not when every match in trials is against a full stack that have been flawless 3 or four times that week and you haven't won even two or three matches which is constantly happening in trials right now. The current matchmaking is busted as bungie said this won't happen anymore but as per previous iterations of trials nothing except the earning of loot has changed. When freelance arrives then yes I agree there should be a time out or a penalty but not right now. Matchmaking in PvP really needs the biggest overhaul in this game and to be honest I can never see that happening. Cross platform should never have been introduced into PvP it should of only applied to pve because connection problems in crucible is absolutely -blam!- right now

I think considering the absolute -blam!- show that is matchmaking. I dont think it should. And is prob why it wasnt brought into Trials in the first place. Now, when Freelance comes around - I can see it being a thing, and it should. But if solo teams are matching against 3 stack vets. Let them bounce and save some brain cells and frustration.

Yep too many people bouncing after losing 1 round. Even after losing 4 rounds just take the loss and the points and try again.

they probably should but whilst they are not i will continue to quit games. if my team mates are as dumb as mud im not going to stay unless its at a worthwhile place on the card.

The solution is not punishing a solo player, the solution is fixing matchmaking. Everybody playing the game paid to do so, for the purpose of having fun. Expecting somebody to pay to NOT have fun is backward thinking. The solution is to make it fun. The reason it is not fun is that they know they are likely to go 0-5 anyway. As for the teammates they abandon ... again, they are likely to go 0-5 either way. The most obvious solution would be always matching 3-stacks against other 3-stacks if available. Granted, there will be cases where that can't happen, but that should be the norm. If anybody should be blamed, it's 3-stacks backing out unless they see 4/6 or 5/6.
