That’s what we call “missing”. It’s a very common term with a wide range of usage. It is generally used in a situation in which one tries to hit something, in this case using a rocket launcher, but doesn’t quite end up hitting the target for a potential variety of reasons. Typically people try to avoid missing in most situations (not always, since there is a niche amount of situations in which missing is regarded as a good thing) by putting a little more focus or attention into hitting their target, or by improving their skill at the activity in question so that they don’t miss their rocket shots like a -blam!- -blam!-.
