Crossing my fingers for Trials
I really hope Trials has a great start to the new system this weekend, I’m actually excited for once when it comes to PvP again. It would absolutely blow my mind if they brought back the exile gear. I’d be playing it non-stop.
Edit: I’m also hoping the changes make the player pool bigger, and make the game mode’s life span longer.

Trials will be 100% dependent on if it’s fun and rewarding for lower skill players or not. If it’s not then Trials will just go back to what it was and seems doomed to always be. People aren’t interested in being cannon fodder for people who are that much better than them. So they won’t play it if that’s what it is again. I suppose we’ll see what it’s like.

6 RepliesI just can't wait for all the salt from try hards who are going to try for Flawless solo on Friday. Expect to see lots of complaints from them about lack of communication, unfair matchmaking, Flawless taking longer than an hour to achieve, and having to reset their card after every three games.

If there's a chance of stuff dropping either after a game or something similar and bounties aren't too crazy, I'm definitely down to give solo que a shot. I've been dying to get SOME trials gear. I don't need flawless, but a helmet or cape would suffice. A weapon or 2.

No need to cross fingers, it WILL be better. The removal of recovs/win trading was enough to make a huge difference, the passage/reward rework is just a bonus. Although i do think its complete bs that bungie didnt retroactively remove gear from players who win traded and bought recovs.

10 RepliesOnly sweats play pvp Bungie needs to completely rework pvp. ToO will be trash, mainly cuz crossplay is a nightmare. New players won’t touch it, and if they do they’ll uninstall destiny cuz pvp is so bad. Casuals won’t touch, cuz they don’t have time to get god roll armor with amazing guns. Can’t wait for halo, breakout is better than trials 343 pvp> bungie pvp and it’s not close.

A team of 3 with a .77 ttk weapon before damage buff. Crazy stability 30 meters around 40 meters before u reach the 1 second ttk. Farthest and fastest ttk out side of 150 scouts. Special ammo on kills that can 1 shot any super. With 100 aim assist. Mid range and far range covered. Zoom similar to hand cannons while keeping ur special open for a shotgun/grenade launchers. Hard pass. I’d rather deal with wall hacks on Lorentz driver. Or a pre nerfed OEM. Heck bring back the pre nerfed lunas howl. Rather deal with that too. At least with Lorentz driver everyone has it. OEM u just wait till the notification goes away and lunas had substantial damage drop off on the first two shots. Vex u either get close enough for a shot gun and hope u OSK before they pull there’s out or use a scout and hope they don’t get in range. Only “counter” is a rapid frame pulse which *vex has a more forgiving crit to body ratio. Despite that there might be 1 vex per team and is probably own by only 30ish% of the community. It’s number 1 in kills for quickplay number 3 in competitive and number 1 in co-op competitive. Now same order for usage. Quickplay 3, competitive 11 and co-op competitive 6. So the weapon that only makes top 3 usage once is almost exclusively number 1 in kills. That’s a problem. It’s usage vs. kills is almost doubled in favor of kills in every category. The only other weapon that can claim that is risk runner for some reason in co-op competitive.

I think you'll see some scrubs like me in the solo queue trying to do bounties. It's a bit of a bummer that they waited until this weekend since I'll prolly be gone out of town.

18 RepliesIf you’re looking for Adept loot it will probably still suck since you still need Flawless. If you’re playing casually with no intentions of going flawless and getting mediocre loot it’s probably a good experience now. I wouldn’t set my expectations too high, just my opinion, you can disagree.

The changes all sound top notch on paper. No F2P cheaters doing dodgy stuff is cool too. I'll give it a go solo and hope I dont drag down my teams too much.
