Having to wait for the last city override to be in the rotation is silly
I'd like to come back and play the new season, but due to recent changes in my personal life I was unable to finish last season. So I hopped on to finish the last couple quests for last season before starting into the new content.
Firstly, being immediately put into the first quest for the new season was a mild piss off as it spoiled a few things for me right off the hop with the dialogue leading up to you actually being able to BACK OUT of that quest so... not cool there.
Then I blast over to the H.E.L.M to grab the last quest for last season and play the final mission only to learn... I can't. I have to wait. Possibly 3-4 WEEKS before I can finish this quest.
This is, to put it politely, very silly. I'd just like to finish the PREVIOUS content before jumping into the new content please. As it is, if I'd like to actually experience the story myself before moving on, i'm essentially not going to be playing destiny until that override mission is in rotation.
Oh well.

1 ReplyI just got these seasons 13 and 14 as a promotion. It sucks that in these last two weeks I cant finish the promotion since Last City is only available via weekly rotation ans the new season will vault it. 😡

i work a schedule where i am 2 weeks on 2 weeks off and am unable to play during my 2 weeks at work. i have been waiting MONTHS for the last city to be in rotation while i am home.

Devs shouldnt gate quests behind time walls and stupid rotations, that is a mechanic for grinding and content shuffle, not QUESTING. Seriously, really really bad planning.

The last city override mission should have just stayed accessible from the helm, or at least spawn a mission prompt for you when you reach that final stage. I completely agree that its really silly and annoying to have to wait for the right override to progress past content.

I agree I went on military duty and now as of September 8th 2021 I don't know if I'll ever be able to finish the LEGACY AS PROPHESIED mission. This has happened before and it sucks for me because I like this game but miss out on so much... like hawkmoon... can't get that either.

Oh, yeah, that would tick me off, too. If the season is over, you SHOULD be able to play the whole entire thing in one go to catch up with everyone else so that the new season can be played pragmatically.

Now that the season is over it does seem like it wouldn’t be that big a deal to rotate the location every 1-2 days.

Forced into the mission right there with you. As for your override problem. The last city ran for 2 weeks and it only takes 10 minutes. Completely on YOU.

4 RepliesThat seems like a you problem. That is how it always goes. We had last city override for 2 weeks. Now it is rotating again. I do agree with the whole forced into the first mission part though.

It's possible to get in late [i]into[/i] the season and blow through the content but it's also possible to be so late that now you're at the mercy of the rotation. We all have stuff to do. The game wasn't as important before and that hasn't really changed. Just going to have to roll with it and keep up with this season if possible.

lil tip, pretty sure you can log out of your character during the cutscene, go back on them and the cutscene won't play again
