Not a good formula. It completely disrupts team gameplay. Doesn’t make sense to stop and leave your clan/ fire team to go off and do a solo activity.

10 RepliesBe careful, the Destiny community will defend the most repetitive, grindy, and most lazy excuse for a "solo activity" I have ever seen. To be fair, the Destiny community has been living off that type of content for years now, so i'd expect them to stoop this low. But don't worry guys, i'm sure it's fun to do lost sectors over and over and over again every season right? That's why you keep playing them even AFTER you get your exotics, right? Bungie needs to invest into more unique missions like Presage with rotating loot pools.

1 ReplyI think the Lost Sector runs are a good place for Exotics to go, but I don't think it should be where they all go. Have a few quest exotics, some general world drops. The Lost Sectors were entirely irrelevant before so it's a good way of making them relevant. My problem with the system is that it seems to be Exotic or nothing. Several runs yield no reward besides glimmer, and blues (if you're lucky), which for a Legend/Master difficulty activity is a kick in the teeth. At least make blues guaranteed like strikes, maybe increase the rate of Enhancement Core drops. Maybe even have a small chance of an Upgrade module dropping

Are you not entertained by doing the same solo content 20 times in a row? People love grinding that. It only takes a couple hours. I think they should lower the drop rate so we can be more entertained.
-
You’re kidding right? Just try harder
-
It is a great system, because I swear everyone, literally everyone can do this and maybe not straight away, but it makes you a better player, which will help your team in the end. You can already do everything else together, Quests, Nightfalls, Iron Banner, Raids, 6 player modes, Exotic weapon Quests, etc.

1 ReplyI think its a great system, allows a way to target farm certain exotics, maybe not that specific one you want but you can go for say... a arms, the wait till arms rolls around. Also if feeling adventourus you can go for the Master mode which entails a greater drop rate. Also as others pointed out, it keeps the world loot pool from being inflated any more than it is. Personally, I'd actually be totally ok if exotic engrams were just drops for armor and it was either Xur, or sectors for them. Exotics have kinda lost the whole "this is a special armor" thing due to the ease at which they can be earned.

To add a challenge and gices solo players an option. Besides they are not hard and are useful in honing personal skill which in turn will benefit team play in team based endgame activiries

Edited by Ghostfire239: 9/6/2021 8:24:45 PMI think it’s great. A great way to farm exotic armour. Much better than waiting for Xur to sell it, or to just getting it randomly. Plus it’s a quick farm
-
1 ReplyNot that hard to do a 5 minute legend solo sector, just a bit time consuming assuming you don't get it within 10 runs. Not perfect but it's a more direct way to get exotics.
-
2 RepliesI got all the lost sector Exotics within x3 Days. Its easy now i can go and do other activities.
-
1 ReplyYour opinion sucks. You're an outlier.

At a high level perspective it gives immense value to what used to be underutilized content making it fairly cheap for them budget wise. It also offers a piece of content geared towards the solo player which many asked for before. And finally it gives a targeted source of farming. I definitely think some things can be done. Like having Solo completes have a higher drop chance whilst you can still technically get them in a group. They could also introduce the drops in the world pool after their season has concluded whilst still having the targeted farm available. I don't really agree with your perspective on team play though.

I quite like them 🤷♂️

I think its lazy from bungies side. Just throw a exotic in a lost sector. Exotics should have story quest to obtain (that fits the Lore of the item), and it should be difficult. Hope they stop with the lost sector thing.
-
Now imagine doing a grandmaster for a adept legendary only to run it multiple times to get one. Meanwhile you can even get 2 exotics to drop
-
3 RepliesEdited by Corrick II: 9/6/2021 3:42:33 PMIt makes them “easier” to get instead of just being random world drops. For someone who plays randomly in the world most of the time it’s a little annoying but if I really want one of the exotics I just wait for an easy lost sector to have it and grind it. I agree it’s odd that Bungie would go against formula and require solo completion but there it is.
-
But solos legends are really easy. Whats there to complain about? they aren't locked out by the artifact. Masters are only for try hard sweats wanting to prove themselves and don't give much to get fomo about. Just get to pinnacle cap and mind the anti-champion mods. Then you can go be one of these kids posting about their first completion.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. It's not difficult either way. It just gets in the way of what the game is supposed to be good at: playing with friends. I'd welcome them changing it so I can do it with friends to unlock new exotics. Would make the first few days of the season more engaging for me.

2 RepliesI'll be honest I hate doing the harder lost sectors, especially because I think it is a waste of time for the possible reward of a couple thousand glimmer cuz RNG/content. I do feel that if Bungie were to rework Overload Champions that these would be worth it though because if we are all being honest they are the only champions whose stun mechanic doesn't always work, generates health faster than a well of radiance, and always seem to be surrounded by another enemy type that makes them nearly invincible(ex OL Captain->Servitor, OL Chieftains->endless screebs/invincible purple lanterns).
-
I Think they should drop even when in a Fireteam. Maybe reduce the drop rate by the number of people in the squad?
-
I have to struggle to find people to team up with, use mostly LFG for non-matchmade stuff so you’re lucky you have friends at hand . I’ll run lost sectors if I’ve no more pinnacles to chase, mainly to test loadouts and challenge myself. I’m NOT one to say they are easy but challenging & rewarding - yes.

When you shoot from the red tees the prizes aren’t as big
-
the objective of bungie is make you play 24/24 and buy everess crap.
-
Solo lost sectors aren't hard. If you want it badly enough, you'll go do it.
