If the Darkness swallowed Mars and Titan, how can we have Gambit matches on them?
Genuine question. Similar logic applies to still having Crucible matches on Mercury. Only planet I haven’t seen at all since it vanished is Io.

It’s simulations. We use devices made by Vance that are tiny versions of the infinite forest.

Edited by PhNx Hellfire: 9/6/2021 12:48:24 AMThe current status of crucible and gambit is they don't use the same frequencies or technologies with the vanguard or Last City. It's more centralized and focused. The reason for the grid zones is the same reason we can't* teleport into older zones from D1 even though they are there and we can tell they are there like the cosmodrome winter. Those zones aren't active anymore because they weren't maintained. The other reason those zones are being used covertly for crucible or gambit is due to the low flux of enemy movements around those places. Remember that crucible red jacks clear the area of what enemies do remain before each match to ensure we are uninterrupted and allows the beacon zones to be used. The hidden probably use a similar network to move around and remain hidden from prying eyes.

Now we controll the Darkness so there is no problem to play on this maps but bungie is still not bringing the old planets back. Because of space what a stupid reason lmao

Same reason the hole in one part of the cosmodrome vanished between RoI and D2
