Is everyone just okay that Bungie is locking a new dungeon and Gjallarhorn behind a 25 dollar paywall or did they just not realize it yet?
Edit: Predictions on when they'll make us rebuy Titan, Io, Mars, and Mercury?
Edit 2: I'm not saying the content has to be free. I'm just saying I don't want to have to pay the inflated price for a dungeon because we padded only package to get it in with useless cosmetics.

People complaining about paying for anniversary Content but shill out large amounts of money For fancy sneakers and ck jeans and buy every Anniversary edition of movies on Blu Ray and DVD lastly pay $25.89 for an Datto t-shirt Colour me intrigued
-
PoH and Shattered are also behind paywalls, making their respective exotics also behind paywalls as well.. Nothing new here..
-
10 RepliesThen dont buy it. But you wont get the dungeon reward either. 25$ seems like a fair price for a dungeon and multiple exotics legendaries and cosmetics.
-
5 RepliesI agree with the OP. I hear everyone else too when they say "it's only $25" but to me Bungie sets the stage for value when they sell the WHOLE game for "x" amount. Their value is further defined by the selling price of their DLC (yearly expansions). For example, $25 is half the cost of Witch Queen but you only get one Dungeon? In comparison to the base game or an expansion that seems expensive to me. Would you pay that without the Gjallarhorn? I personally would likely cave and purchase it because I was one of the only people in my friends list who got the Jellyhorn from xur the first time. It took my friends forever so I have great memories of listening to them complain, haha. The thing stopping me is that they will likely make it free later which devalues my purchase in my opinion. Do I want to pay $25 just to be first when it becomes free later? I mean, why don't we just pay for the privilege to play D2 at all. This brings me to my next point. I feel like Bungie learned something from Activision and have been actively trying to make their way towards a $15 a month game for a while now.

4 RepliesTbh it’s not that big a deal. 25$ ain’t nothin. You get a dungeon, gally (which will probably become free anyway in the near future), new armor sets that actually look good and aren’t just ornaments, old and new weapons, and much more that hasn’t been shown off yet. See y’all complain about that, but I don’t hear anyone complain when they spend more on food or movie tickets and popcorn when this compared to those is such a huge difference. You’re getting play time, new experiences, and replay ability. With food or movie tickets all you get is a one time experience that you have to shovel more money for to get again. That’s how I justify my purchase at least

How much for the Vex Mythoclast? 😁
-
4 RepliesFor myself, I’m very against it. For those who are for it, they love to consistently move goalposts with this mtx stuff. They have been groomed to accept it, and I doubt anything will be too much for them. So no, they will never actually learn.
-
From what I understand Eyasluna too. I’d rather both those weapons not have to be bought bc of obvious reasons and.....curious if they’re gonna even be good weapons. I mean, if you’re able to buy Ghally, and let’s say it’s the best weapon, then that’s just creating a whole new storm. Which is why I believe they more than likely will be just eh.
-
1 ReplyDon't worry, they will hand the weapon for free to everyone after a few months probably, similar to how they have been doing it for years.
-
Unsurprising, but you pay for what you want.
-
Well Shattered Throne and Wish Ender were locked by a larger paywall (and still are behind a $10 paywall last I checked) so I don't see the problem with the anniversary dungeon being $25. Odds are Gjally won't live up to the hype anyways (regardless of it's actual usefullness).
-
21 RepliesI'm ok with it yes. If I buy it, it's $25 bucks, whoopty doo. If I don't, well later in 2022 it'll become free for everyone anyhow (just like everything else has).
-
2 RepliesVote with your wallet then, don't buy it. Personally I don't fret about $25 but I mean pick and choose your battles amirite?
-
I’ll just be pissed if GH isn’t worth it I’m hoping it’ll be game breaking for a few weeks before they patch it. If it is then it’s worth $25 to me
-
im gonna buy it anyways cuz im dedicated to the game, but i agree we shouldve gotten a bit more for 25$, it costs 5$ more then any small dlc we have gotten, which have much more in then
-
Wah! I want everything for free! Bungo no make money, they give me free! Wah!

9 RepliesEdited by Crota bin Oryx: 9/3/2021 1:21:40 PMI had to buy my console to play games. Is this termed as a paywall? What would you prefer? Do you want to see gin and tonic ads during your raids? Or would you like the option of watching a 2 minute video (by Rick Kackis in HD) before unlocking your next 30 minutes of gameplay? I mean someone has to pay for the development of this mobile game.

It’s bungie B day you paying for the after party lol. 🧐
-
I got a question if I don’t buy the pack for December do I get it in Witch Queen? If so I’ll just do that I’m no idiot to pay more to have it 2 month early.
-
1 ReplyConsidering weve paid over $300 its BS
-
then don’t buy it and don’t get gally like really man
-
In your edit, you say you dont want to pay what in your view is an inflated price. Thats fair enough. Then dont pay it?
-
Well that's what they showed plus new armor set and weapons(not dungeon 1) Probably gonna be more in there too, maybe not...it's a bit pricey in Destiny standard but still a decent price
