It saddens me that it was not fully tested before launch. I was truly hoping that there would be a fix out for my brothers and sisters to come join those who are able to play currently.
At this point I suggest for those who are able to play sit relax just run the open world if you are just that bored.
For now i am going to join the others that are not able to join in on the game go play something else until there is a fix and spend the money elsewhere.
Bungie i wish you the best of luck in getting a speedy resolution.

thought i come back check up on things. Soo much Hype... I am starting to wonder where CCP DropBear ended up at. Bungie could not have said it best. Please becareful using 3rd party fixes or messing around with dll files bad things can happen. I still wish for a speedy resolution.
was not fully tested
Or at all, considering it's a 100%-reproducible instant crash when trying to launch the game.

It's so so so sad... literally all they had to do was boot up a supported OS and double click on the D2 icon on the desktop and BLAM crash on launch... literally a 30second tops test and it's obvious they didn't even bother testing the patch on all supported OSs... who ever is in charge of quality assurance should be fired on the spot... honestly there's zero excuse to not test it on every supported OS... its like they didn't test anything outside of their dev bubble...
