For shadow price, drop rate increases with nightfall difficulty. It is a very rare drop from adept nightfalls. For the raids, there are a lot of sherpa clans that bring people in to be helped through and taught raids, and you can look on the clan page of the forums to find those. Those clan leaders you spoke about should be reported - bungie won't do anything unless you bring their attention to it because they aren't constantly checking for hateful messages, they expect those to be reported.
