We might’ve known that Osiris was being possessed by Savathun long before now.
So y’all remember season of the hunt, and how we got Hawkmoon?
Well, that lore tab is from the perspective of someone watching crow and our garudian drinking and partying. Who else would be watching us at that time other than Osiris? But it doesn’t sound like Osiris. It mentions that whoever this is is “reminded of my sisters”.
Savathun has sisters(yes, Osiris and xivu are male. No idea how that works, but Savathun has sisters.” And it is revealed to us this season that the Osiris crow had known was Savathun all along. Which means that the hawkmoon lore hinted at this from way back when.
Mabye I’m late to that boat, but I was going through lore and that’s what I found.

1 ReplyIf you go back some of the Season of the Hunt and Chosen dialogue makes a lot more sense in hindsight with the knowledge that Osiris is Savathun

3 RepliesSome creatires here on Earth can literally switch genders due to the reproductive/survival needs of their species, The Hive can also switch genders, though it isn't super clear to me why or how. Most knight-types seem to be male, and most wizard/witch-types seem to be female, but that's not an absolute, and the lore is pretty vague. Aurash is female, who becomes Auryx, who becomes Oryx, who is male. Novota, Xivu Arath, Hashladun, and Savathun are all Female, while Nokris is Male. Where they started and where they'll end isn't clear, probably because hive lore is mostly "Let's talk about death/murder/genocide and how much we love it.", and kinda glazes over all the other important details. Thus, the understandable confusion.

Osiris helped the Crow to the City, and ever since then, since the Crow is in the HELM he is whistling the song of savathun.

Pretty sure Xivu is still female at this point. Savathun wouldn’t screw that up since she refers to Oryx as male but anytime previous to that as female but yes. Season of the Hunt is most definitely where she shows up. When you save him on the moon is my guess, I heavily doubt any time previously unless Panoptes is still alive and that was a trick somehow to cause the endless night? Which again, I doubt.

She did say to Crow that she has been Osiris as long as he’s known him

That lore tab was a bit tricky, as Osiris is never involved in that Quest and the two in the lore tab never react towards the watcher. But yes, it was Osiris
