Close Encounters medal not working?
I haven’t found much supporting information about this online. Now while I’ve tanked my kd for the season, I can’t seem to get the close encounters medal. I’ve tried a variety of shot guns and gotten several double kills at close range without reloading or changing weapons, but I don’t seem to be able to be awarded the medal.
Advice, tips, help?
Update: I’ve played about thirty games now and have gotten several point blank kills with my only two bullets without reloading or changing weapons. Still nothing.

1 ReplyI played so many games last night and got so many kills without reloading or switching weapons with the gun basically in them. Honestly I ended up just being cringe and sitting in corners and point-blank shooting people when they would run right in front of me. Still nothing. I’ve used Found Verdict, the new stasis shotgun, the chaperone, and a few others.

I got mine yesterday so can confirm it is working although it took a while and a lot of sweating to get it. Tried a few shotguns/load outs but in the end I used a Riiswalker and top tree Nightstalker with dodge set to melee regen. This prevented me from dodging and accidentally reloading but still let me go invis and helped with survivability. Basically if you have to ADS your to far away. You need to be 1-2 meters away.

Edited by Elysium: 8/30/2021 4:39:38 PMI used nova warp, and get at least 3-4 enemies in one blast. It seems to work then. I think it’s instant close range multikills that are needed. Not hard, but definitely not easy. Edit, I looked and it says weapons only. I’ll be honest, I don’t know how I’m getting them done then.

same, plugged plenty of dual kills and nothing. Close range must mean practically sticking the gun inside and pulling the trigger. I'm not a shotgunner, figures the last medal I need would be this one

try getting kills with a primary to get more special ammo, once you have 5 or 6, then go for the medal, that should make it much easier, also it says you have to get kills at close ranges, and idk the exact distance that is, but you should avoid slugs, bcuz they will probaly be beyond the necessary range,
