[RESOLVED] Can't connect to any players at all - Tower empty, no matches in PVP playlists, error when joining fireteams
Edit: This issue was caused by my VPN (ExpressVPN). Disabling it resolved the issue.
Logged into Destiny 2 for the first time this season but I can't connect to anyone. Originally thought this was a cross-play issue (I am on PC, was trying to connect to a friend on Xbox) but am now realizing I am unable to connect to any players: Tower is empty, cannot find matches in Control, and cannot join the fireteam of another friend on Steam. I am using an Amplifi Router HD with UPNP enabled and Hardware NAT enabled - no static DHCP or port forwarding. Had no issues with this setup until I logged in today, and I haven't changed my router settings at all since I last played. Destiny 2 claims I have a moderate NAT in-game.
I did attempt to disable UPNP and set up a static DHCP lease with port forwarding - it didn't help.

3 RepliesHope someone knowledgeable has the answer to this problem. My friend has this similar connection issue. No people in the tower, can't match with other people in control, can't connect to me and vice versa. His NAT type says it's open which I believe is good. He tried restarting the game many times, uninstalling and installing twice, resetting his router, unplugging and re-plugging his router but the problem still persists (it's been over two months now and we've been trying to find a solution but we couldn't find any at this point in time. We hoped that the new season update would auto-fix the problem, but alas we our hopes were misplaced). I now hope this thread will find its way to more experienced people that can fix this problem.

same on xbox the tower is empty, I can join nobody while my nat is open

I’m having this same problem, I’ve tried resetting my game multiple times and I still can’t connect to anyone. I’ve never had this problem before this new season and it’s very frustrating

My friend has the same problem. But the only thing that you should do is trying to change NAT. My friend resolved using that solution
