New "Grenade Kickstart" stasis arms mod doesn't function properly with Contraverse Holds

The mod reads "When your grenade energy is fully expended, you gain grenade energy." In practice, however, the grenade energy is not given until a second or two after the grenade is thrown. This causes a conflict when contraverse holds' perk procs shortly after throwing your grenade, as the mod seems to think you haven't used your grenade energy, and so you gain no energy from the mod.

  • Chiming in that I’ve been told it doesn’t work with double melees either, so Stasis Hunter or Warlocks with Claws of Ahamkara may well have the same issue

    This 100% has to be bugged. The energy refund delay is sometimes instant, but other times takes a full second or more, it seems super random. Sometimes while contraverse is refunding energy it actually procs kickstart still, but most of the time it doesn't. If it was always 1 second I'd imagine its intentional. But there ARE times where you throw the grenade, kickstart procs instantly, and contraverse refunds on top of that, like it should. But this is super rare, and for 4 mod cost it honestly should be instant because that's 1 more than the grenade <-> melee mods, which give more energy and are instant. Where is the value, or practicality, when kickstart doesnt work with anything that refunds grenade energy? It costs the same as firepower, but firepower refunds more energy (instantly), stacks with itself, works with other grenade mods, AND easier to put into a build, especially in higher end content when most champ mods take up an arms slot. Like what

  • Damn. As soon as I saw the description of the mod Contraverse was the first thing I thought of. I was highly looking forward to combining them. Hopefully that's a flaw that can/will be fixed and not intentional by design.
