App says I’m on Xbox but I’m actually on PlayStation

Hi, I’m attempting to use the destiny 2 companion to find games, but every time I try to join a game it only lists Xbox as the platform I can choose from but I play on a PlayStation 4. I’ve been playing on my PlayStation 4 since early 2020 but when the game first came out many years ago I played it on my Xbox One for a week and never played again. I thought about unlinking my Xbox account from my bungie account even if it meant I had to disable cross play for 90 days, but it won’t let me do that since I bought silver the other day, even though I spent it all. How am I supposed to use the destiny 2 companion app with my PlayStation account to find games now?

Hey there, It sounds like you have your Xbox account set as your primary cross save account. This means all of your progress is tied to your Xbox account, not your PlayStation account. As such I would not disable cross save if you’re playing on PlayStation because all of the progress you have made will be on your Xbox account, not PlayStation. Since you are technically playing on your Xbox account, this is why the app shows your platform as Xbox with using fireteams. There isn’t really anything you can do about that except change the platform for which you are searching for a fireteam.
