Can't launch D2 after Update to Season of the Lost and Installing Battleye [Win7|64 Bit]

I've been unable to launch the game since updating to Season of the Lost and installing Battleye, it always says that I'm missing a mysterious file, when I'm launching the game as admin, it says to me that a file with the name 'api-ms-win-core-path-l1-1-0.dll' is missing. Tried everything I could think of, and even had some friends help me out, but nothing worked to fix this issue. #SeasonoftheLostFile #MissingFile

  • It's a shame that some of us are trying to solve a game problem ourselves, the first week of the new season is already ending and besides bugs and crashes with the players that can play the game, we are still not able to initialize the game. , I will do a topic on Monday too just to remind them that we still have this unresolved issue.

    • We are now on day 5+ of what looks like at least thousands of people on Win10/8/7 being completely unable to even get to the main menu or play at all, no matter what attempted fixes they try, with no ETA of a fix.                   Lets keep posting so they won't ignore it and put this whole thing under the rug. Because i think its exactly what will happen if we dont keep their attention.

                  • im still having same issue. i really want to buy the new season and probably both old expansions but not untill i can actually play the game. im sure they are up to their eyeballs in bugs and working hard at fixing problems other than just this one but it is frustrating esp when all your friends and family are playing and you just want to experience it with them and not fall behind :(
