Hi there! Can you please verify your game cache? 1. Restart your computer and launch Steam 2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu. 3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button. 4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

  • The 'Destiny2.exe missing error' is not a corrupted installation. i'm having the same problem among all the others (win7 with dll file missing). As it says it's missing i try to start directly Destiny2.exe and it says the dll is missing. They just messed up with the current build code, probably corrupting memory allocation in the process. Great content creator, but mediocre at best software developers...

  • If you already didnt know and havent read ALL the posts that has to do with this issue: NOTHING WORKS. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Not even reinstalling, or updating C++ or Netframework or directx. NOTHING. So go to bungie to tell them to fix it. Hundreds of people tried everything and we would have found something by now without your help. Tell Bungie on Monday to stop ignoring the issue and fix it cause this is getting frustrating for a lot of people.

  • I understand your frustration and Bungie is currently investigating the issue where an unknown file is missing. However, this error appears to be different than the one you are experiencing, which is why I asked them to verify their game cache. This could also be an error with antivirus, which is what I was also going to enquire about.   • Harsh. But under the circumstances, also fair. Fairly sure it's thousands of people for 5+ days now. I can't help feeling that this bug never should have remained unfixed so long. I mean, how can anyone justify that?

  • Thats what i mean. Whats even more frustrating is that their twitter @BungieHelp fixes bugs that are so minor in comparison to our issue, unimportant, (few times they fixed bugs just as important as that) and it makes me so angry its frustrating. Its so unfair to how Bungie doesnt consider this issue that mich important and thats why i get the feeling that theyll ignore it and never fix it because Bungie don't have the ability to prioritize important issues cuz theyre blind. They'd rather fix an emblem rather than the game. So people, dont give up bombarding the forums until we get what we want.

    Yeah, communication problems seem to be getting worse over the past year+, which led me to create [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/259529080](POLL)How good is Bungie's responsiveness to customer requests and needs?[/url] but I'm not sure I'm even getting anywhere with it, especially since it was moved to a section I doubt most people even check since it's natural to assume nothing but companion app issues go there and they don't use the app. So often it feels like communication doesn't get where it needs to go because management doesn't want to engage with customers.
