“Adapting” to hunter sandbox

In the current sandbox. To “adapt” to radiant dance machines and to shatter dive. Is to concede that you should never be within 15m of a hunter regardless of a wall being in the way. This feels oppressive. Shatter dive needs a rework to be inline with other similar abilities. Can not slide or class ability after shatter dive. It’s frustrating that after leading a primary duel. It is a negative to chase a hunter behind any cover because you will get 1 banged by a evasive grenade ability. And if you do bait the grenade at which point you have given up your positioning and the hunter has passed enough time to regenerate health. Voiding any advantage you had made. At best because seems sandbox team wishes to keep this ability hunters need to be locked in place after doing so. So those that can bait the ability can punish those for miss using there ability. Like a poorly charged hand held self damage. Or shoulder charge from poor positioning.

  • Titan can do the same thing with glacier but easier and more because they explode it by 0 cooldown sliding and can carry 2 nades. And warlock has freeze melee and rift and the turret. Hunter stasis is ONLY shatterdive.

    • Any time someone says “adapt” in response to a sandbox complaint, it’s ALWAYS an ability that’s completely unable to be countered. It’s like the word is programmed into the heads of these people to be used when no other argument will work.

      • There definitely needs to be a cooldown between throwing a grenade and shatterdiving so that you cant just panic slam. I used to be of the mind that shatterdive is more annoying than broken, but that was before this season of comp... where stasis hunters are the overwhelming majority, and for a reason. It is just not fun to play against, and while yes shatterdive is baitable and able to be played around the lengths you have to go at to do so are unreasonable and make the game not fun when you are playing against it.

        • How can you adapt to the unknown? This is a looter shooter. Weapons have different perks that can vastly influence the outcome of a gunfight. This isn't a competitive game. Everything is broken.

          • Wait isn't EVERY sandbox a Hunter sandbox? My deepest desire is for Savathun to extinguish Hunters from the Vanguard. Yep if I had a 15th wish that would surely be it! Well except for Cayde, I'd use a tiny bit of my wish to bring Cayde back. The Colonel misses him, he has not left Caydes old spot in the tower for a couple years now!!!

            Why do players keep mentioning shatter dive as if that is what's killing em. It only does 6 damage, 6.....but with the grenade while you freeze from it is what kills you. It already got nerfed, and those that has been dying from it by their super are either getting damaged here and there and not noticing it, or you just got baited into it. Players pop super and automatically assume "im a God, im going to wipe a whole team now" All I hear and read these days is how everyone is just crying over weapons and abilities. It is why bungie doeant even try to make unique things anymore. Everything is always a nerf because players getting killed by it in PvP. Just separate the damn 2 already so things like these dont happen. Or make different modes where you only use primary weapons and grenade, no supers or anything else, or just primary. Other modes where theres no heavy etc etc. The 2 need to be completely separated, this will happen over and over and over again. We will never see a stop to this. All we will see is ppl crying and everything gonna be nerfed. Then come back here to cry again and say why are our weapons and abilities all nerfed. I'm not attacking you OP, and I apologize if I sound like it, really am not. Just tired of the nerfs. We finally get few cool toys and within first 12hrs ppl already asking for multiple things to be nerfed. Not even give feedback to how to tweak it to still be good but not THAT good. Just automatically nerffffff. I mean come on, we are playing a video game for crying out loud. Everything these days make ppl so salty and sensitive. Bungie should just make a separate game call it destiny crucible or something. And has multiple modes, for every single pvp player. But we all know that wont happen, 1 the population not gonna be as good and i doubt they can focus on 2 separate games balances. I just wish ppl stop their bichn abit. It's just overboard these days.

            • I've only fell victim to them once and that's purely because 1 of my melee didn't register. I'm not defending them they're clearly to strong in all aspects of the game but for PvP if they're close enough to prock the perk they're with in shotgun range/ melee

              • RDM are getting nerfed so I wont speak about those. But crucible was screwed the second they introduced stasis and freezing other players.

                • Im on my warlock and I literally play like a hunter. Ive also been crafting steady builds to counter hunter movement. All this just so I can play crucible and stand a chance.....

Shatter dive has been nerfed and is fine now.
