Radiant Dance machines- (perk: The dance- Activating your dodge ability while near targets allows you to dodge additional times for a short period of time) Which is only 5 seconds of dodging everywhere.
They aren’t broken really. You see in order to make this exotic seem broken you need the mods [Dynamo- when using class ability near targets reduces super cooldown] and [Distribution- reduces all ability cooldowns when using your class ability near targets] pair these 2 together and it makes this exotic seem what a lot of people are saying “broken.” Without those mods this exotic is pretty crap. I think dynamo and distribution need tuning I say a 5 second cool down each time you use your class ability and boom this “broken” thing won’t be happening anymore. Let’s be real here it takes more than 5 seconds to gain class ability energy really so this shouldn’t even hurt the mods at all. Is it that hard to kill a hunter dodging towards you or even dodging everywhere? You have a lot to your arsenal to stop that like a grenade, a shotgun, a grenade launcher, 2 melees is all it takes to kill a hunter dodging so much, a super. You have quite a variety to kill a hunter running this low tier exotic to say a hunter dodging everywhere is broken is just an excuse to say “I just can’t aim” or “I don’t feel like trying against a hunter dodging everywhere” This whole nerf this exotic just sounds like a cry to nerf hunters even though they actually for once get an exotic upon release that’s pretty balanced all around.

1 ReplyThey're broken by design. The mods just add an extra layer. It should give you a single bonus dodge...not 5.

]
Note that this comes from the perspective of a hunter main.
They are very broken, in all seriousness, just because you need 8 energy from a void helm doesn't justify this kind of super energy gain. Bungie just nerf'd geomags for giving this kind of energy in the last 90% of its super bar. Dynamo doesn't count as line of sight, so it's abusable behind cover and around corners. I don't think the freeze slowing is a problem in PvP considering it takes 3 dodges, but the super energy is a problem for both PvP and PvE. Radiant dance machines are likely not going to be touched themselves, I imagine that dynamo and Distribution are getting internal cooldowns like you suggested. No class ability can really charge within five seconds, and nothing else gets affected. All that being said I'm into these exotic boots for all the effects dodging can give. Ridiculous reloads during damage phases, super high melee ability uptime, PvE slowing and freezing, it's really cool

15 RepliesTo nerf mods because of one exotic is insane and ridiculous it needs a massive nerf

They are massively broke and I’m a hunter main. Geomag topping off is also fine if you can’t run intellect but the answer wasn’t to nerf intellect. They are fun and ridiculous and I hope they can be adjusted so they are still those things but I’m not sure. Maybe during the dodge abilities can’t regen would stop the mods working but I’m not sure.

2 RepliesEdited by Dubufu: 8/27/2021 5:22:24 AMYeah no. These are not "accusations". Don't be dumb. Abilities are tied to other abilities in certain subclasses, and certain mods are also tied to those abilities, especially class abilities. This means spamming one, is particularly dangerous. You can gain up to 50% of your super energy just from dodging near an opponent 5 times. Or, you can tie it with other abilities and instantly refund your entire kit from this exotic. It's scary because this means that Bungie has two options: 1. Rework the exotic. 2. Give class mods a cooldown. Both of which are actually pretty hefty nerfs when considering other builds. It's either nerf the exotic, or nerf everyone who uses class mods. It's not such an easy choice when considering the broader scale, and as such, makes this a lose-lose situation. Nobody will be happy. That being said, the exotic itself is actually incredibly powerful. Cutting off aim assist constantly while being evasive is probably one of the best escape tools a hunter has. Especially on these small maps, the close range potential is insane.

1 ReplyIf you’re referring to their interaction with mods, the interaction is broken. If you’re referring to just the exotic itself? I think it’s fine. There was a reply earlier that suggested only allowing the first dodge to proc these mods - I’m not against it, but it should be messed with.

1 ReplyIt's always hunters trying to defend their broken class and are the first to cry when another class gets anything.

3 RepliesTry the exotic with and without the mods dynamo and distribution it will blow your mind with how not broken they are.

22 RepliesA super in 40 seconds is not “broken”? Not that I am arguing your points… but it is near enemies.. not right in front of them. This works through walls. It is also not really easy to kill a constantly dodging hunter… and if/when the hunter dies.. they are already at half super. Sure.. we could lay out all sorts of possibilities to “counter” something.. anything. But this breaks pve/gambit easily and can be abused in PvP. I get the defense for it.. but I would just prepare yourself for the exotic being disabled for a fix really soon. Like, tomorrow once enough videos are out there. And FYI.. it is not about the dodges.. it is about how fast one can get a super. It is even less than 40 seconds in pve with top tree arc.
