12 RepliesThere's an old saying that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I don't think it's right to judge Savathun as evil. Guardians have practically committed genocide on Eliksni. What makes the hive evil exactly? That they use darkness? So do we. Not being able to work with Savathun because she's done bad things would be like saying we can't ever ally with Elkisni just because of the horrible things they've done to us in the past. Season of the splicer was specifically about us looking beyond the past and focusing on the future. Beyond light was the very first in game push for us as players to realize that the universe doesn't just work on stereotypical "good" and "evil" definitions. We're supposed to consider Savathun even if emotionally it doesn't feel right.

1 ReplyOh, I disagreed with every "truth" she tried to say except one: We are paracausal. We are definitely heroes to the Last City. Savathun literally coerced Crota to open a portal into a throne world, thus villain. The simple fact is only younger guardians are flexible to believe an enemy. The rest of us are like Saladin who is rigid in what you stand to lose should you lose vigilance.

Oryx might still be alive (technically). He’s essentially the touch of malice exotic. It might not have got destroyed when the tower fell. It may still be somewhere in the destiny world, maybe in a future season.
