Oh I know,I've had numerous issues over the years but this made me question every death. New gen is sweatier and a smaller player pool also, it's just all stacked against me so I decided to stop, not worth the brain damage :)

Bungie said numbers are very high with over 20 million new users since they split from Activision (this is very debatable given sources and leaks suggest otherwise), yet on Xbox I see the same names nonstop, even on patrol. Whereas as it very rarely happened on PS4.

Play station has highest player base compared to xbox that why u see different names more times than on xbox.

I played on old gen Xbox too n never saw the same names, it's deffo caused by the generation split, but yes you're right, in Europe anyway. Peak time % never varies much Europe PC 40% PSN 40% Xbox 20% USA Xbox 36% PSN 33% PC 30% Stadia 1%

Nope, if a new gen is solo, they match new gen only. Old gen match old gen. If a new gen party pick up 1 old gen they go in the old gen pool. I've never once waited for people loading in, everyone loads in instantly, that wouldn't happen if it was full cross play, old gen loading is still painfully slow.

Oh not that i mean like in crucible I thought it would bring in players who are playing on the old xbox one to crucible

The whole game is generation based. I'm sure it fills in sometimes with old gen and vice versa but it's very rare
