Can't add people on bungie friends
I have been trying to add my friend who plays on steam since the update rolled out. When he enters my Bungie name it says I don't exist. and I have no place to add him. I tried adding him throug bungie friends on the site but tjeres nowhere to add him. How do we add each other?

6 RepliesOmg I found a work around. I was able to find, add and message my bf through the destiny 2 app. Don't ask me why that works when the in game friend stuff didn't but it does. I'm not home at moment, but once I get home I will be back to clarify that yes, this worked and we can join each others fire teams and play together

Yeah, had that problem too, but when my bf and I had the problem no one else was talking about it, so I made a post in the Destiny 2 subreddit about it. Ngl I'm kinda pissed, we’ve been planning our “Destiny Date night” literally since they announced they would be adding crossplay. He made sure he had last night off, I planned my training for my new job to start Thursday instead of today since we would be up late playing together.... Only for it to not even be an option. Crossplay announcement is the ONLY reason I even reinstalled. I almost spent real money on silver to buy the season pass for the first time, thank the gods I tried to add my bf as a bungie friend first or I'd be extra upset. All and all Destiny Date Night was a bust, my autistic self literally almost had a whole breakdown over it, and honestly, I'm half tempted to just cut my losses and uninstall. My close friend who plays on PS is also considering uninstalling as he only reinstalled in the last month just to get back into the game to play with me. Overall we're not impressed.

Oh well if it dont work is back to fortnite. Atleast that you can add friends on other platforms

I have the exact same problem. I cant play with my mates that are on PlayStation as when I type their names in the bungie search box, it says 'player not found'.
