Nerf Special ammo in Crucible, you're missing 4-5 million pvp players, losing money, community agrees...
The issue is, most streamers and players do not recomend this game for PVP, this message is being repeated, resonated and cascaded across live streams, news outlets and search engines, and as millions never join, that money and income is lost. Since money and income is now the only remaining driver for change I urge you to make the PVP game aspect more playable by listening to the community. Players have been abusing special ammo drop mods inside PVP and as some seasonal special meta weapons have a 1-shot kill it's them leaving players with endless special ammo bricks. This needs to be significantly nerfed or limited. Millions never joining->money lost.

Just leave special ammo the way it is. Removing the players that complain would help immensely

I'm one of those past pvp players from D1, (was top 50 on PS4 at one time) that has left the game in hopes that I can make a return. It was promising to notice that Bungie is currently hiring a multi-player mode designer.

Let us below average players have our crutches! At least then we have a slight chance of at least trading kills with an above average player. Although I'm only assuming I'm a below average skill Crucible player, that's what the people who stat-check anyone who comments on Crucible related things tell me anyway 😂

4 RepliesThere’s an abundance of reasons as to why PvP player engagement is so low. It’s taken several years of questionable updates and shoddy decision making to bring us to this point. But I’ve gotta say, special weapon spam has gotta be close to the bottom. As others have said, it’s arguably the only option that many casuals have to compete with nowadays. Blame the implementation of poorly tiered SBMM. Blame the introduction of weapon sunsetting. Blame the introduction of F2P. Blame the ineffective anti cheat. Blame the lack of transparency in discussing these issues with the community at large (not a small echelon of sweats and streamers unrepresentative of the majority player base). I’d really like to see what percentage of the active PvP base actually pays for the seasons and expansions vs percentage of F2P.

Strangling special ammo will kill the game because only toxic sweats will be left to play.

Yes I 100% agree. Special weapons at this time are literally stronger than heavy weapons. Look at jötuun in pvp, it can nearly one hit kill you at full health in a super, and so can a rocket launcher. The only thing making jötuun not as powerful as a rocket, is the fact that you charge it up, but even then it’s stronger cuz it has damn near infinite ammo! Shotguns, why? The nerf didn’t do jack -blam!-, it just told people to use different shotguns with a better experience. Fusion rifles, they can kill you before your primary can kill them. Grenade launchers, do I have to even explain? The only thing that isn’t extremely overpowered are sniper rifles, because they have a skill gap.
