I have dozens and dozens of engrams just sitting with Shaxx. Why? It is not worth my time opening them. I know from experience, that 99% of them are just worthless junk that I'm going to have to dismantle one at a time. Since I already have a zillion shards and materials, why should I bother?
This is a fundamental flaw with the rewards system. This is a total waste of our time. Too much junk to wade through. Forcing players to dismantle dozens and dozens of items a day, is just freaking stupid. We get this in every single mode of D2.
I have a hard time understanding why anyone even plays PvP. Trials is about the only mode that has decent rewards. Comp is a joke. There is absolutely no incentive for me to play it. If anything, the endless blue drops discourage me from playing it. I know after an hour of time, I'll have a post office full of junk blue loot. What buffoons at Bungie are making these terrible decisions? Maintenance is not fun. Dismantling is not fun.
