And that’s a fact the game legit needs it lmao
Pvp players have to sit there and take the shit from pve players all day but when pve players complain about pvp they want the whole game mode removed it’s ridiculous

L take

Wouldnt destroy it imo, but there would be many more players leaving mid season through burnout and lack of meaningful content. The game will always have its dedicated playerbase.
-
A shit-show of lag, cheating, behind the scenes manipulation, lack of new maps, poor rewards and disastrous match-making. Yeah, we need that lamooo!

If PvP stays or gets axed, it won’t matter to me. I used to play it fairly regularly but avoided Trials when I could. PvP became rather triggering for me. Sticking with PvE is a much better experience for me, game-wise. Destiny will not die if PvP is removed. Will it lose some players? Totally. There are better PvP games out there. Most of them have probably already shifted to those games. The game certainly will not die though.

I doubt I'd bother my arse playing "Core Strikes" or doing public events etc if there wasn't a Crucible.
-
2 RepliesNo it wouldn’t. And that’s a fact.
-
Nah, game would be fine.
-
20 RepliesActualy it would be better because all the crybabies will be gone and bungie can focus on the pve

And that’s a fact the game legit needs it lmao
Doesn’t at all, but if you like it enjoy it while it lasts.

45 RepliesLol naw. Most players are pve. Delusional post
-
This game sells off PvE content. The reality is the 10-20k that play PvP don't matter in the end they're beyond the minority.

4 RepliesNah would be better. My first commented I had typed out was like nah you not posting. So make it short and sweat. Pvp gone from destiny would see a return of players. I threw a bone one to many times to the pvp community and they don’t want fairness or balance. Then blame yourselves if pvp just disappears one day. To many positives not enough negatives. Pvp has been the bane of the game. The game was supposed to be centered around a story and world building. Last min change gave the world another game trying to compete with cod, battlefield and all those pvp based games in the like. Destiny is not a pvp game. It will never be an esport. It will never be recognized as an official tournament game. Pvp was the cause of to many nerfs.

Well it would definitely get rid of a load of cry babies off the forums!
-
The game would pretty much be the same for me if PvP was gone. I rarely go in there.

2 RepliesEdited by Veldrin: 8/21/2021 6:27:03 AMAlbeit getting rid of PVP wouldn't destroy Destiny, doing that still would be a very dumb (revenue) and disprespectful (PVP players may not be the majority, but they are not just a few, they are many) decision. I (as a primarily PVE player) believe that if Bungie brings more content for PVP the PVE players benefit from it indirectly and vice versa as well.

4 RepliesEdited by Infamous067: 8/21/2021 4:10:19 PMI agree pvp makes destiny great but im not gonna lie and say destiny would die if pvp was removed. If pvp got removed and replaced with way more pve content then destiny would thrive just the same as it does. Destiny has a real end game in pve being the raids. Imagine how much better the raids, the power fantasy and content would be if the pvp team was working on the pve team instead? Destiny is already a great pve game, pvp completes it. A full destiny pve game wouldnt make or break this game though, I say this as someone that spends 99% of his play time in pvp.

I wouldnt play Destiny anymore if it didnt have pvp

1 ReplyEdited by Boss: 8/21/2021 7:34:41 PMPvP is infinitely more fun then PvE.
-
And here I distinctly remember the only thing keeping destiny 1 alive during droughts was trials every weekend... It's almost like removing pvp would kill almost half the playerbase... Weird how that works huh?
-
1 ReplyPeople play PvE for weapons for PvP and people play PvP for catalysts for... both. I think the player base drastically underestimates the value PvP brings to D2. That being said I do not think it would die without it but I certainly would play D2 a lot less. I like its PvP and honestly, despite some glaringly obvious problems, it is pretty solid right now compared to a lot of D1 and D2 metas. Almost everything is moderately viable.

Edited by Dardex: 8/21/2021 6:29:43 PMY'know, it really wouldn't. It would Thanos snap the player base, but the game would by no means die
-
The "Destiny would be better without pvp!!" people are the double digit IQ gang of Destiny. Best to just ignore them.
-
1 ReplyDon’t worry. Bungie has done nothing but add PvP content for the past 700+ days. It is clearly their priority 1 and that’s why majority of ppl play trials and enjoy PvP non-stop.
-
It really wouldn’t.
