As most people were dreading the upcoming Anarchy nerf and how it's first been seen, I think it's probably one of the best outcomes for the weapon. I've not been using the exotic recently, but a reserve reduction (albeit a bit large) and some boss damage reduction isn't going to be the end of the world. Since the damage reduction doesn't include champs (thankfully), that means it'll still be a reliable pick for legendary lost sectors and nightfalls.
(Also nearly the rest of this TWAB is pretty yummy)

2 RepliesMy clan and I fervently disagree with these changes.
BTW my whole clan is Wayfarer/Splicer and D1 vets.
-
I think perfectly fine.
-
All it needs is a catalyst to properly compensate for its slight nerf. A champion-mod for one would be nice.
-
56 RepliesLosing over 1/3rd of its ammo capacity and 30% reduced damage to bosses is reasonable? I would hate to see what unreasonable would look like.

I love Anarchy, but I see why the nerf was necessary. We still have vailable options for the Heavy Slot, tho. Let's see what the new Season will bring with Weapons and Artifact Mods.

100% agree, I actually think it was the perfect nerf to balance the weapon. The reserve nerf was a given and I think 16 is more than fair. I was actually thinking it was going to be nerfed a bit harder to 12 or 13, but I'm glad they took the approach of reducing Boss damage and keeping the reserves a little higher. Let's think how this actually affects Anarchy usage in gameplay: Against non-Bosses: All this means is you need to be more strategic with the use of this weapon and hit your shots against Champions. Many players felt extremely comfortable spamming an entire magazine at a Champion and only expecting 2 shots to land; those days are over. Against Bosses: This nerf will not have as large of an affect as people are thinking. Anarchy is usually used in combination with a special weapon that is doing the bulk of the damage. Reducing Anarchy by 30% is going to have a pretty small effect on total damage output, probably somewhere between 5-10%. On top of that, when have you ever been in a boss fight and run out of Anarchy? The reduced reserves is going to have a near-negligible affect on Boss DPS for most players.

15 RepliesEdited by Refrigerator Jax: 8/21/2021 8:56:18 PMWas an exotic Now has a nice little spot in the vault with the rest of the turd. Least new players havnt got to grind spoils to get it anymore.

1 ReplyI was against the Anarchy nerf at first, but I’m perfectly fine with these changes. Yes 30% less damage against bosses sucks, but we all know you weren’t just standing there in a Well, staring at the boss, and only having an Anarchy out.
-
1 ReplyEdited by AubsTheBelieber: 8/23/2021 12:23:36 AMI am SO SICK AND TIRED OF SEEING POSTS ON FACEBOOK AND THIS APP ABOUT "OmG ThEy KiLlEd AnArChY". Stop exaggerating people. Post nerf it will still be the best weapon for hard end game content. You need two shots. You have 16. It still will be more than enough. Omg the boss will die 33% slower than before? UM BUT YOU CAN FIRE TWO SHOTS AND SWITCH TO ANOTHER WEAPON AND USE THAT AS ANARCHY TICKS AWAY MASSIVE DPS?!
-
13 RepliesI'm sorry, but you're delusional if you think anarchy isn't effectively dead by this change. 16 ammo WITH reserve mods, how much you think its gonna be without? 10?, you'll be out of anarchy most of the time in any hard level content, champs in gm's often take more than 1 volley and thats assuming you have perfect accuracy and forget about vog throne room.

51 RepliesThe entire TWAB in my opinion is a Joke. Nerf this Buff this Bring back weapons that used to already be in the game, that you ruined by Sunsetting. Simply dumb. Destiny has been in play since 2014 and you’d think this would already be figured out. Over powered, under powered. Blah blah blah blah. Delete PVP and every single problem would be fixed. Stop looking at Stats via a spread sheet, stop listening to streamers. LISTEN TO YOUR ACTUAL PLAYER BASE.
-
It’s over kill. Lowering the economy ok, maybe 15 percent damage decrease. 30 is too much
-
1 ReplyYour take sucks.
-
3 RepliesYou have a silly definition of fair. Nerfing ammo economy AND a fn 30% dmg decrease is insane. Taking away a 3rd of the dmg is not a nerf, it's a neutering. It'll fall out of favor for GMs quickly as well. Officially RIP Anarchy. I remember a time when Anarchy was STRONGER than it is now pre nerf, and it was still not the best dps option by a good bit.
-
2 RepliesThe irony of all the people agreeing to the Anarchy nerf are the same people who don’t even have it to begin with.
-
1 ReplyIt was a much needed nerf and it will still be extremely good
-
13 RepliesYou know whats quite reasonable? Quitting this cash cow game. I called it right when i remotely saw the 2 words anarchy and adjusted in the same sentence. Completely destroyed is the better word for "reasonable". Who other than elitist streamers who play this game for 80 hours a week and elitist players who play this throughout their whole freetime, would ever remotely think, a two sided nerf for all of this weapons strenghts is "reasonable"? Everything else is dogshit so lets bring the only fun outlier down to being dogshit aswell? Nice philosophy. Thats what a looter shooter pve game needs. More boring dull and nerfed into the ground trash to keep the game "challenging" for the 1 percent of absolute neckbeards who breathe this game.

29 RepliesEdited by DeathPony07: 8/20/2021 4:04:51 AMThey should have buffed the shitty heavy exotics instead of ruining Anarchy. Whisper of the Worm, DARCI, and Sleeper are all useless. The toxic elitists will disagree because they play 24/7, have the best gear, and think Destiny should be Dark Souls.
-
6 RepliesYeah great. It may still be viable for champions. However when your gear is locked pretty useless taking it into a nightfall if it’s near on useless against a boss.
-
2 RepliesLike i said when Bungo teased to nerf anarchy months ago, "they want it to be in line with every other piece of shit power exotic in the game" and so now it is. Just a sticky nade colony.
-
2 Repliesall this game is now is nerf city lol… Everything gets a nerf. *orprah gif*
-
that weap itself and how it works it negates champs and bosses and since exotics ppl had to do something for (outbreak, sleeper and similar) are made moreless useless, no reason to keep anarchy that overpowered. I dont care for pvp monkeys, but for pve that weap itself is extremely strong. But if they would treat it same way as exotics I mentioned, ppl would go crazy, so this "nerf" isnt realy nerf as weap will work still same, just little less dmg to bosses and little less ammo. It will still allow ppl to ignore champs and boss fights

1 ReplyEdited by Havoc: 8/21/2021 6:12:36 PMI respect anyone's opinion who is counter to mine, however, in my opinion, I think the nerf is overkill, but, I don't really care. I acquired anarchy from the raid, so I've had it for a while, but, I never really used it until the breach and clear mod was a thing. It was always good, just not my thing. I think breach and clear brought it to a ridiculous level of over powered, which, consequently, formulated exaggerated opinions about the guns strength, leading to the current nerf. Once it is nerfed, I'll vault it, however, I would've probably vaulted it regardless to use weapons which the next set of mods highlight. My former clan had a few GL mains who loved anarchy from the start, what is sad to me is that these "enthusiasts" will also vault the gun because, at least on paper, the gun looks like it will be pretty bad for a heavy. I happen to be a 1k enthusiast, lucky for me, the gun sits in a spot where its pretty good but not meta for any pve event. I hope the fusion mods don't end up giving it the anarchy treatment next season.
-
And btw it will still rock pretty good even and that state. It just wont be a nobrainer anymore.
-
I honestly don't think the nerf will be enough to dethrone it from best in slot

6 RepliesBungie logic: nerf the best weapon and leave all other useless weapons as is. Hard work and education has paid off.
