ODST Armor

So I'm trying to make an all ODST armor soldier, can anyone help me out with the small details? I have all the pieces that are designed for it, like the helmet and shoulders, but which type of knee-pads are closest? What color are their visors? Are their ODST knee-pads to unlock after the rank-cap ends? Any help would be appreciated.

 •
Posted by: frgt to link gt Which wrist attachment? Nice job on catching the utility too, I'd forgotten about those.
From what I saw? none. Edit: I'd think the breacher wrist might fit if you were trying for a more CQC looking ODST. [Edited on 10.24.2010 2:15 PM PDT]

Army troopers sometimes have soft case or none at all. If you get really close and look, the visor is a dark blue. Armory blue visor? really light blue. Thus my saying using silver or black.

 •
Posted by: I Sinful Shot I Knee pads? Gungnir(Or whatever the second option is) Visor would be blue. Go stare at one in campaign. They're more blue than anything. Again, any small details you need, go look one over in campaign. Best to do it on Exodus at Rally Point Alpha when you run into the Bullfrogs.
gungnir knee pads, NxRA utility. About the visor color, it's blueish in campaign, but I feel the 'blue' visor color from armory is too light to match/look okay. Silver or Black would be my recommendations.

 • Yeah I realised that it does look lighter than I first thought, although on the cut scenes in Halo 3: ODST they are shown as black and in the live action short "We are ODST".

 •
Posted by: UK inFeKzioN
Posted by: KannibalKlown There's some debate on the forums about the visor. A lot of people say it's supposed to be blue, others silver or gold.
Since when was any ODST visor colour anything but black, I mean seriously? http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/File:The_Rookie.jpg
That looks blue to me.

 • In game the silver visor doesn't look anything like it does in the armory. Blue is much closer, as for knees, I say go with gungnir or default.

 • An ODST's visor is a very dark shade of blue, but the closest thing in Reach is the black visor. They wear Gungnir kneepads in Reach, so use those. They also wear the UA/NxRA utility, but you should choose whatever utility you want, because ODSTs take on different roles in a squad.

 •
Posted by: Ninja Elf Muffi The description for silver visor is actually an ODST motto. as for knee pads im not sure
That's a really good point, I never noticed the descriptions. I'll probably go to silver for the visor then.

The ones I looked at all have the Jump Jet shoulders and the Flight knees, but regular ODST's obviously don't wear those.
I looked at one without a jet pack and he didn't have those. Hmm.... Try at the start of the mission "The Package(?)"(The 9th mission). You start the mission with three ODSTs
