Even in quick play, you have to sweat your balls off. I’m trying to work on the cryothesia catalyst, but after several mercy rules in a row, I decided to give up. I understand that I’m at a disadvantage by using a mediocre weapon, but how come bungie keeps pairing me up with awful players? It just makes me switch back to my default load outs.

I don't sweat in quickplay but I would say this situation has more to do with the influx of stacks and being paired with horrid teammates every game. It sucks. I use off meta all the time, but I can't do much if my team cannot get map control.
-
GLs need to -blam!- off.
-
Should be able to get it done in Momentum.
-
I dont care for meta and a little rebel and choose my own favourite set up. Still getting enough kills and positive kd
-
Just saying, CQC + Cryosethia + Blink is kinda good

6 RepliesI hear ya. Made it my pvp project this season to do get the suros regime catalyst done. For the so called “best” pvp auto, Its going painfully slowly between getting dominated by hand cannons from the other team and getting all your own kills cleaned up by hand cannons on your own team. Autos feel so bad (aside from sweet business and chroma) that I’m not even sure why I’m doing the catalyst anymore.

Hey you got crucible in my shotguns...
-
PvP needs fodder, content creators also need you for those sweaty PvP clips.
-
No you either have main a special weapon or teamshoot
-
You dont though. I use 2 primaries and i do fine.
-
Play momentum control

4 RepliesThere is a huge difference between meta and garbage. Crystosthesia is just a terrible gun. It just doesn't feel good. You can easily roll into quick play and get kills with about any weapon right now. I ran an entire crucible rank reset with Malfeasance and it's 1 second ttk against everyone and their mother using felwinter, igneous, Ace, and Chaperone and did just fine. I've also been using Monte Carlo quite the bit, along with Survivors Epitaph. Sidearms are good if you can position yourself right. I still love Devil's Ruin and the arc crucible one is really really strong at proper ranges. The Gambit SMG has been great but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't rather be using Shayura 🤣

Using meta is fun for me at least, not a fan of handicapping myself. And just like most FPS’s, it’s impossible to achieve complete balance.
-
Welcome to the broken Lobby balancing Network. No one asked for it. And it’s been broken since it’s inception.
-
You are at a disadvantage if you’re not using it.
-
I gave in and finally started using a shotgun. Have to say it’s fun and highly effective on Hunter that’s maxed out on movement.

2 RepliesIn QP you can use a lot of different weapons and do just fine. The QP sandbox is in the best shape it has been in awhile. I run 100% non meta loadouts and I have no issues. The problem is that you have to actually use your brain a little and practice a bit. Meta weapons are mostly for lazy people who don't want to put effort into getting better at the game or people who have trained themselves to only be competitive with one weapon type.
-
4 RepliesNo. Only sweats that care too much about their stats use the meta. Real ones use different stuff and change their loudout regularly.
-
Cryosthesia isn’t even bad. Stop going for the freezes and just shoot. It’s cool and fun, but you want the catalyst, screw the perk until you have it.
-
7 RepliesTry Rumble At least there, it’s more chance of a 1vs1
-
Not even true, sounds like you're just bad?
-
1 ReplyDepends. If you play at a high level in Trials, you probably have to. If you go 6v6 in the IB, then no.
-
3 RepliesWhen they nerf hunters PVP will be saved so never

2 RepliesIt's not JUST you. I've got tons of SS's showing how bad my teammates usually are. The meta is prob one of the most forgivable metas recently. I have zero issue with most of the loadouts I've used. Not sure what to tell you, if you feel that way right now. Not sure if you remember the last auto-rifle meta, but that was almost unbearable.

Edited by KIngJS922: 8/12/2021 1:25:50 AMI've just gotten back into the game and I've tanked my stats by just trying to get a feel for it, that and thanks to sunsetting I didn't bother investing in good star armor, just been whatever is high light level. I've been using Cerberus, chroma, and suros and smacking low key. But I agree it seems like people sweat wayy more than before, as a returning player.
