Just wondering what your thoughts are. To me, it seems we’re still the same person, but with a second chance and no memories.

Edited by Emurinus: 8/14/2021 10:39:37 PMNo. Crow is evidence of this. Guardians will retain parts of their personalities and/or mannerisms from their old life, but the influences of their first life (such as memories) are wiped entirely. We are basically undead amnesiacs.

I like to think of it as a regeneration from Doctor who, but with a full memory wipe Similar personalities and traits, just reshuffled and exaggerated. Crows desire for freedom and his fondness for the fallen is very similar to Uldrens, yet it's their personality and way of thinking that's different

1 ReplyAna seems to want to be, Zavala retained characteristics too

1 ReplyGuardians have no memory of their previous life. I think Ghost modifies it or it’s just gone.

the person a guardian was before...died, when a guardian wakes up they are a New person. all their memory's died with them, unless your and Exo or have cybernetic implants like ana, as they can retain glimpse's, and fragments as a Cybernetic or an Exo mind can store memory of which not even death can touch.

Guardians do not remember who they were in their past life, or only know very little of it I think this was mentioned somewhere in the lore, but I don’t recall where exactly I know that in a cinematic for D2’s release, Zavala says “we wake up having no memory of who we were before”. Hope that solves it for ya
