I’d like to see/learn more about Shiro IF he’s to be shoehorned in as the new Hunter Vanguard. Maybe I’m the only one, but I feel like I don’t know anything about him other than I saw him in D1 and that in lore, he was in a Fireteam with Cayde and Andal Brask (correct me if I’m wrong). I don’t want someone I hardly know to be my leader. Give me more story in-game involving him, I want to be charmed by him, but so far he’s just this… yellow guy. I can taste the lemon of his cloak with my EYES.

I agree with you on the fact we know Shiro more than crow. I don't think from a story prospective its a good idea making crow ths new hunter vanguard. I'm pretty sure the dare is bow null and void due to uldren being dead and becoming crow. The dare says cayde's killer becomes the new leader. With uldren being a memory now, it wouldn't work with crow. He's too new, it's like making a kindergarten kid teach high school students. Weird comparison I know but still.

But… We don’t know Shiro more than Crow, do we? Have I been living under a rock? I personally know Crow more than I do Shiro. Shiro means nothing to me, except that he was Cayde’s friend and Fireteam member. Crow would be an excellent candidate, but a few things need to happen first. Crow needs more character development and experience (agreed with you in that Crow is way too green for the job right now). He needs to discover his past, and after that, decide what kind of person he wants to be moving forward. That will be the ultimate deciding factor to see if he’s worthy of Hunter Vanguard. He’s well on his way to earning the experience desperately needed to be a team player and Hunter; he’s recently teaming up with Mithrax’s old Fireteam with Zavala and Ikora’s blessing. Very exciting time for Crow. Reiterating—but no, it wouldn’t be wise to have Crow be Hunter Vanguard right now. Crow needs to acclimate first, have the City see him for who he truly is/what he was. He needs to know who he was. You know there will be drama, and that too will decide Crow’s future. That said, I am rooting for him. I like Crow.

Traitor. Lol But in all seriousness as much as I'd perfer Shiro because I think he's cooler, if crow does get the experience needed to lead then sure I'll let him be the hunter vanguard. Since no one wants to take the mantle of responsibility those two are our only candidates. Bit there I'd the possibility of crow becoming the next speaker. Which would also be kinds cool.

You actually inspired a conversation I had with someone else about this, about who would be the best fit for Hunter Vanguard. This person mentioned that we don’t need to know Shiro on a personal level to know that he’s make a great candidate as Hunter Vanguard. Lore proved his capabilities ten times over, and Cayde trusted him, which I suppose is enough. In fact, Cayde was Shiro’s mentor. Hearing this explained to me did open my eyes a bit more about the possibility, but ideally I’d still like to see more of Shiro. I’m not sure if he’d be willing to take up the mantle… not many Hunters seem to want it. I guess we’ll see, won’t we? Thanks for having this chat with me, I’m very interested in this.
