PvP is dead. Joe Blackburn's tweets confirmed that. Barely any content until next year LOL

LOL a reprised map with Witch Queen. A single new map in a year from now. WOW.........

HAHA another remaster. So out of 4 maps coming next year, 3 of them aren't even new maps. This is just beyond awful.

Pvp was never ment to be the priority in the game yet some people still think that way. I really hope for Bungie not to delete it but to never put anything new there no maps no nothing this way the pain and the tears of the pvp community will be more painful. It brings me joy.

2 RepliesThis is pure damage control. Halo tech test this weekend scared them bcoz it got very positive press, emergency meeting Monday ended in this cobbled together garbage. Watched an aztecross vid last night, he's still being played after all these years, well, played or paid idk. He opens up by saying how he loved halo this weekend, didn't want to stop, then came back to D2 n realised how bad crucible is and there's no future in it, but then he read Blackburn's tweets n now he's buying into crucibles future and bungie an him back as he now has a future to buy into. This is why the bungie guy tweeted, damage control, it's getting old now. This community lap up any old spiel. And it wasn't even positive news lol, rift is trash and more old returning maps lol, some are over 18 months away. Do they code in braille

5 RepliesDestiny is on auto-pilot now. Many on this forum are in denial, but they are letting the game run its course. It had a good run. PVP is mercies in more than half the matches and they don’t do anything about it. Think about that. PVE is largely recycled/reskinned content. Compare their level of engagement now to a couple years ago when they were constantly on the forums finding out ways to improve from players. It’s disappointing but happens to the best of games.

Pushes free to play on pvp without giving us a choice , then pulls all real support for pvp save for sandbox updates . Admits their teams are spinning up for crucible , implying that they weren't there to begin with as we all knew . So what I'm getting is they willingly neglected pvp because it doesn't make them money , a symptom of their own cause . Same with gambit . Man I'm sick of this developer .

Imagine bungie is literally asking us to pay for recycled content Did you notice there are no more story mission type quest and nothing...This battle pass system have actually killed the game. They are now trying their A off to delay and stretch content to maximum extent.

Tbh This morning driving to work I was contemplating about what I got in exchange for my money when buying the base game with DLCs beginning of year 2 D2 and with Forsaken soon after with all its seasons ( black armory, gambit...). Each single season had more content and interesting/compelling stuff than what I get now in a whole year! But I was dumb enough to subscribe for both Shadowkeep and Beyond Light. Bottom line I don't have the feeling I get much value for the money spent. PvP so called news are just a symptom of a/the bigger issue.

It it currently PEAK PvP time in Destiny. Per Warmind...https://warmind.io/activity - 26.7% of guardians in PvP, meaning 72.3% are not. And this is PEAK PvP participation time. Usually this figure is 12-15% at best. Don't bother with any of the silly 'PvP keeps the game alive' rubbish, unless you have stats to show this (hint - I have stats and figures that show that PvP has ALWAYS been a far distant sideshow in the game). Edit - PS, lol, Bungo, as always, only piping up when a threat to their revenue is approaching. Their behaviour is as transparent as it is greedy.

The PvP in this forthcoming game looks very good, especially in 4K. A lot of D2 players will move over to Halo Infinite while D2 won't have any new or recycled maps in the months ahead. Amazon currently shows that Halo Infinite is the #1 best seller in Xbox games, and that's just pre-order status.

Witch Queen is going to be on par with Beyond Light, or even worse: a campaign made of 3 missions, a new subclass, and a lot of recycled content, with possibly a return of another D1 raid still available to play in that LIVE game. The worst part is most players are going to be hyped end august and pre order the legendary digital edition coming up 9 months or more later, and pay for some exclusive $90 plastic and polyester goodie on the online store so they can wear their emblem in game. We really can’t blame Bungie for cash cowing so much on this franchise when the customer base is just asking for more. Still, this company is proving to be in the very wrong hands, and would do so much more and financially better in others.

Since what year 6 ...the bare minimum has been done to keep this IP compelling ? Going with their psuedo "free to play" game, it has allowed them to do so and its showing. Fixes are taking longer than ever as with the QoL changes. Matter of fact ..they really just fix what they break anymore, as we all know they do not thoroughly test anything before going live. So one new and everything being D1 maps returning shouldn't be a surprise from past practice. Since the Activison split ....Destiny has just been treading in shallow water. Ps.... I can see the BDF ( Bungie Defense Force ) is out in force...we all know who they are. Too Funny ! Do you guys get an emblem from Bungie for white knighting them ?

They want people to think they are not lazy… no one is convinced. Everyone still thinks they go for your wallets (MAJOR improvements to the store, you see the stock in archives this season??) and don’t care about the experience of the game…. They are greedy and lazy

The fact that for some of you it took that series of tweets for you to realize that PvP in this game is an afterthought and is not deserving of bungie's attention is kind of crazy. It has been obvious for at least the past year and arguably the past seven.

Does Destiny have competition from other games concerning pvp? Yes. Does it have competition from other pve games? Not really, it’s unique like that, IMO. So why invest in something that is sure to fail. They can’t compete with overwatch and such egames. Pve is their bread and butter. I feel sorry for pvp players, but I just don’t like it and there are many like me. Sorry.

1 ReplyFor those who always come plain about pvp steps in bounties, instead of giving up OPTIONS to either pvp or pve the step, they force you there to populate the mode so the pvp players dont complain as much. See even pvp players are neglected. But any time you guys ask, "why dont you give us option to go to pve and finish the step and vice versa" because without the pve players, new players even long time players like me, pvp would be only filled with cheaters and the few % who love trials. I used to like pvp, now I just do my 3, or finish quest related steps and never go back in
