Bungie - Loot "Rarity" clarifications please

Bungie, in all seriousness, what is wrong with your loot rarity system? Specifically where it states your "chances" for loot (i.e. common, uncommon, rare). Found a definition of "common", "occurring, found, or done often; prevalent." Now this, to me, sounds accurate for the usual use of "common." Now why is that NOT what happens in game? RNG shouldn't have THAT much variation when doing activities like these (legend/master lost sectors, nightfalls). It should be a flat percent but it feels like you set it to 20% with a +/-20% modifier. And no, I'm not saying 20% is "common," if anything 60% is the lowest I'd go for "common." Really, look at your system again, it's disgusting.

  • Actually, some guy on reddit did the numbers, it's 19 point something percent drop chance on exotics from master lost sectors. Bungie probably use the medical statistics for side effects to define the meaning of the word common, in wich common indicates a 10% chance. I totally aggree, the drop rate is low. Let's say there are 8 different hand exotics, you are looking for a particular one for your build. Then you need that to be high stat, but also the right stat. Now your drop rate for the thing you need is a percentage of those 8 exotics on top of that 20 percent. You're left with what.. 0.3%? I don't actually know how to math, but i know that i have farmed for one particular exotic to the point of uninstalling the game in anger a few times.
