Stop punishing solo players in QP with constant stacked teams

Is there a reason why there is an abundance of stacked teams on one team versus a bunch of solos? What is a stacked team? One is a team of one or more groups of 2-3 together on one team using communication to succeed. Another is placing players with a common knowledge of the game which far exceeds that of the opposite team. Whatever algorithm you have in place is by far the worse system to ever be put into a shooter. It is like you are purposely punishing players for solo queing versus placing teams against each other. What is odd but not surprising is that you have yet to address the issue despite seeing a plethora of posts on the forums about it. There are really bad spawns and horrible lack of diversity. You cant leave matches before another que starts up. You should never want to leave a match in Quickplay. Quickplay is literally Trials 6V6 and it is beyond cancerous. A mode designed to be casual should not feel like an esports mode. That is why you built Comp and Trials did you not. QP should be the most casual game mode you can find that gradually gets harder as the more you stay in there but what is happening is if 1-2 players even cap a 2.0 in the match, it means you bring out the worst type of matchmaking or lobby balancing possible. There is no way someone who top frags every once and a while can carry players to victory if the other team is stacked with no lifers and teamshooters. New, casual and average players probably are having the worst type of experience in PVP due to your lackluster communication about the issue and the horrible excuse for lobby balancing. This crap feels like SBMM all over again with worst possible matching. The crazy part is I have seen Witherhoard, Crimson and Palidrome so much in the last few days than I can count. Dont get me started on Shatterdive. What I havent seen is actual gunfights between players because most matches are spent being chased and teamshot by 2-3 players at once or the whole team. If players want to use that style of play to win matches, thats cool but there needs to be a seperate playlist for that. Bungie, your lack of communication isnt helping the game become better and eventually the numbers for this game is going to drop to an excessive low and players will never trust to buy another one of your games again. Simple communication is better than no communication. As the community, we should not be relying on the TWAB and Tuesday to receive information about the game and the changes ahead. You can definitely do more than what you are doing, Bungie. Here is a suggestion: PVP consist of 2 playlists: SBMM and CBMM SBMM Trials(Stat and Card Based) Comp(Map Voting via Mode Selection)(Stat and Win Based) Quickplay(Same as Comp without Win Based) Rumble(Map Voting) Special QP(Same as Comp and normal QP) CBMM Trials(Card Based) Comp(Win Based) Quickplay(Map Voting via Mode Selection) Rumble(Map Voting) Special QP(Same as above) These are all subject based off community and Bungie’s thoughts can be handled initially through Crucible Labs.

  • They should implement the approach they took in Halo3. Teams get matched with teams of similar size. For example 4 stacked would be matched with either another four stack or a three stack. It would do this until it found another team.
