23 Nightfalls later = Zero Nightfall Exlusive Weapon Drops = Destiny 2 Player Experience PROBLEM
23 Hero Nightfall Clears:
0 Shadow Prices
0 Swarms
0 Palindromes
Thought I would get some Nightfall Exclusive loot during double loot drops this week. 23 Hero Nightfalls later, I received zero exclusive weapon drops. Loot should be raining from the sky at this point in the season. It now feels like I’m just wasting my time.
What are the most Hero Nightfalls you played without receiving any Nightfall Exclusive Weapons?\
Solution 1: game should identify if a player hasn’t received any Nightfall exclusive weapon drops, and there should be an increased chance of getting those weapons each time you don’t receive a drop. There should be a guaranteed chance after 10 or 15 Hero Nightfalls.
Solution 2: enable matchmaking for Legend and possibly Master Nightfalls with a minimum guardian level to enter the activity to give higher level solo players a chance to earn better loot drops (without having to keep finding a group on their own).
Solution 3: both Solution 1 and Solution 2

The problem is HERO NF’s. The drop rate is horrendous in anything Below Master. Run Masters. Stop wasting time in low tier NFs.

1 ReplyHero is mostly a waste of time if you’re farming weapons. I’d recommend at least Legend, but Master is probably the best time effective way to get more weapons. Every GM this week I’ve gotten at least 1 weapon per run (even though it’s Double Rewards currently, I often got 2).

They should just make match making NF drop these weapons

Maybe dont do the difficulty with the absolute worst chance of dropping a weapon

Just run the master nightfall. Always drops (for me at least) an exotic (or 2) nightfall weapon (or 2) bunch of prisms and an occasional golf ball. This past week has been insane though (double loot nightfall) with at least 10 exotics armor w/ crap rolls though.

1 ReplyYou haven't clear that many, although not dismissing your point. The "random roll" is a lie, you rarely come across a quickdraw - range finder palindrome that happens to not have crap barrel and haves either ricochet - high caliber, God forbids you get a range masterwork with that.

26 to get my first and only Shadow Price. 40 to get Braytech Osprey.

Edited by Jamestown01010: 8/3/2021 2:03:42 AMThe first day I played some Heros this week, I got about 6 Palindromes, 3 Swarms, and 1 Shadowprice. Sometimes I got 2 in one strike. Plus a bunch of exotics. The next three days I ran A LOT more Heros and got 1 Palindrome, zero Swarms or Shadowprice. They definitely nerfed the drop rate mid-week on Hero.

Hero nightfalls have insanely low drop rates. Heck the rare loot of prisms is more common than an uncommon NF loot drop on hero.

You are 1325, you should be able to do Master difficulty. Drop rates are much better there.

I agree drop rates and RNG is busted especially on lower levels like hero. You can improve drop rates by using ghost vanguard mod prosperity. Also kill ALL champions to get platinum rank after completion. If you were on PS4, I would gladly help you go through master. It is not that hard when you realize everything is deadly. Master has much better drop rate than hero or legend. I’ve been doing Grandmasters and the drop isn’t guarenteed even there. Two runs in GM this week without weapon, even though it is double rewards. Crazy!

Solution 4: post an lfg for legend or master. It’ll take one minute to find a team. The best parts? You can specify what you need and you don’t even need a mic. Just take it slow, you’ll get it. [spoiler]Also, make sure to kill all champs for platinum and put on vanguard posterity.[/spoiler]

Don’t recall the name of it, but last slot on the right, second page all the way to the right or maybe it’s second to the right. Anyways it delivers additional rewards in NightFalls. I ran 30-40 1310’s and 1340’s. 15 Palindromes 5 Shadow Prices 6 Swarms 50 Prisims 50 on me and 50 in my post master Several Ascendent Shards Countless Exotics. Some will say they can’t get a Team. I spent several hours trolling Xbox LFG looking for groups. I even ran into a few that said they only needed a clear for Solstice Armor and didn’t feel high enough light. They had mods and it was on.

Low drop rates for hero, as it should be. If you put in a bit more time you could’ve gone for master or GM. It’s the end of the season so you’ve had plenty of opportunity to level up and reap the rewards.

They don't drop much from hero, master is 1340 and much easier to do then the 1340 number would suggest.

At 1320+ you should be farming legend if not higher. Legend platinum has a 50/50 chance or NF weapon. Hero is good for bounties but the drops are not worth the time it takes to complete unless you are struggling with light level.
