Not every activity needs to be played by 100% of the community. You can't just farm public events to get the best gear like in year 1, that just makes for a boring game
-
well 80% of the comunity don't know how to play a mode that is not called tutorial like all d2
-
I find it funny when new lights complain about not being able to get an exotic fresh out of the cosmodrome. When in d2 vanilla everyone was farming public events for exotics, back when they were dropping like leaves off of a tree.
-
Maybe just maybe 80% of the community either needs to stop being anti social or get better? I understand not having the time, but there is never a time wasted to get better
-
Maybe just maybe 80% of the community either needs to stop being anti social or get better? You're not guarantied an adept weapon drop 2. Even if you get an adept weapon it most likely will not have the roll you wanted So don't feel like GMs are worth the time.

You get no skills outside the game that translate into real life.

Skill level isnt the only factor. Many players just dont find artificial difficulty via overwhelming modifiers, champions, one shots, and hiding very fun. Destiny is one of the only ARPG's I've ever played where you cant build your character to tank or simply not be one shot by certain things. It's just hiding and pinching at enemies which is boring and shits on the power fantasy.
-
Even in gm, I don’t think there’s many things that can one shot through double appropriate damage resistance mods, and protective light. Bonus if you got an overshield from something.
-
And you definitely can make builds to not get one shoted/ dealing massive ammount of damage/spaming supers or abilities etc... It has become rare for me to just hide in GM's Killing everything is more efficient XD.
-
Vision of confluence with frenzy rewind rounds, gets the job done real quick.
-
This and many other things. Hell i was doing last week GM with a hawkmoon for the fun of doing it XD
-
Artificial difficulty... Probably the funniest excuse to justify not wanting to find a fireteam/ having a good loadout
-
Artificial difficulty... Probably the funniest excuse to justify not wanting to find a fireteam/ having a good loadout
Probably the dumbest strawman by an elitist I've seen on here in a long time 🤢 Even if that were true, are you not smart enough to put 2 and 2 together and see that maybe having to do those things isn't fun to them? The playerbase will play what they find most fun. That is the whole point of a video game. Pull your head out of your ass for second and try to understand this please. Christ.

Talking about elitism about one of the easiest game around...my god.. So your argument for the conversation isnt about "artificial difficulty anymore" ? Now its just about fun ? Well then GMs sure arent fun for everybody. But so does strikes/pvp/patrols/dungeons etc...you name it. There is personnal preferences, myself i truly prefer slapping my balls than playing the normal strike playlist, but it have nothing to do with this famous "ArTiFiCiAl DiFfIcUlTy" Because you know .. in every game the game becomes difficult because ennemies being strongest/dealing more damage/being more aggressive/having more HP/asking you and your team to synergize and to use the right builds. That is called "endgame" Is it so hard to understand that not everything has to be possible to do just by spaming your poopoo autoriffle everywhere ?
-
What you don't want to get endgame gear from, let me check my list....... Picking up spinmetal sarcasm on purpose
-
Collecting spinmetal is too long and harsh Give me loot by managing to correctly maunch a destination pls
-
You're right getting spinmetal is too hard those dregs won't leave you alone. We should get gear by sitting in orbit...

My argument is for players having to do the things you mentioned BECAUSE of artificial difficulty, einstein. And at the end we get more strawmanning and assumptions. I honestly should've just Muted you from the start. RIP my brain cells.

Also its cool to call somebody an ellitist but try to post a message without looking like a superior being that have to mock people in order to make his point. Just give your arguments thats more than enough for a civilized debate
-
Dont worry, you dont need to explain why it is an "artificial difficulty" because its obviously nonsense XD. This isnt an artificial difficulty, its exactly the only way strikes can be hard since they only rely on ennemies to be hard in the first place. Wich is normal in the end as every gamr does that and only some...meh players around here think thats not normal XD
-
You just have to realize, that plebs are getting angry because Bungie is finally adhering to PvE sweats and they either don't have the skill or time to commit to getting to endgame level. Personally I work a fourty hour job and I'm sitting pretty at 1341.
-
Kinda true. Besides most of the high rank players are just doing afk in the shattered throne 10lvls a night is pretty good
-
If you're modded correctly you will not get 1 shot by anything, you also don't need to hide and can play aggressive in GM's.
