Can we add Dueling?
Wierd topic but fun idea as i was just messing around with another guardian pretending to fight each other on a patrol, But is there any possible way we could get a dueling system so you and 1 other guardian can fight each other with both parties accepting it? So say youre in a patrol with your friend and want to fight it out, you could inspect player with whatever key it is for your platform and click "Request Duel" and they could inspect you back and click accept or deny to the duel request. I dont know i just think it'd be fun to fight people in the cosmodrome and nessus and stuff the open areas are great for fighting and are barely used outside of story and farming guns, just another fun thing to do in the game.
Would anyone else like to see this as a feature in the game?

I know for console if u hold down the left stick, at least on ps,it gives u a diamond shape, then dping a emote wpuld direct it at them in the chat even if ur not looking directly at them. I can see them getting rid of that, cause looking at them lets u direct emotes. And they could make it so pushing thst button would request a dual.

3 RepliesThat's a cool idea, unfortunately bungie doesn't do those anymore. If it's not a bounty grind or a repackaged event where you platform your way down a hallway till you reach a boss room, they ain't gonna do it

Yeah and make it so players can choose between primaries, specials, and heavies. Each setting unlocking another tier of weapon usable in the duel. It would be neat

1 ReplyTo all the people saying just play crucible, this gives A LOT more player agency and a much more natural feel to any instance for a duel. And if its on patrol, its something you could do with randoms. Just think how much life some areas might have if people spent a good chunk of time just waiting in one spot for people to come duel them? If they added a player bounty or just some kind of wager system to that it'd really get interesting. I think this is an addition worth exploring, plus it would really fit lore wise and give us a part of Destiny we haven't been able to experience. Fights with other guardians out in the wilds.

2 RepliesI feel like this is a good idea and should get to bungie somehow. People are just like PlAy CrUcIbLe it gives you the opportunity to make your own map since we haven’t had a new map for 2+ years. It allows you to pick your own battlefield and it could at least make them realize they need more crucible (and gambit) maps.

Doesn’t this already exist with Private Crucible Matches? 1v1 is possible on Elimination. Or am I missing something?

2 RepliesThat sounds like borderlands, it was a cool feature but bungie doesn’t have to go through all that trouble. You can literally just 1v1 in a private match with the option to choose any map you want.

only if there were an option in settings to 'deny all duel requests'. would hate to constantly be getting hit up for duels when trying to just grind out a few bounties and whatnot.

3 RepliesNo cause nothing would get done and it would end up being part of some stupid title or something else that is required for a bounty or exotic quest. It’s already a headache for players to constantly be forced into pvp for one of those things.

3 RepliesSound like too much work and really annoying, This is how it should work: Just before you enter a patrol zone where a difficulty selection is usually is you can select PvP on or PvP off So you can go into a patrol zone where you could fight or go to a zone to farm mats, bounties and lost sectors With a system like this you can enjoy yourself without players spamming dueling requests 😒

Well i was look at the pvp posts on the forms 1day and got to thinking if we r haveing all thes problems with pvp y not take out pvp no here me out y not take out pvp and setup a 1v1 open world dueling sistumy like in world of war craft thet wood be more fun it wood give pvp player a new map every dlc no machmacking wood be needed pve gun wood not get nurft if op for pvp so what do you think
