Yo lets make polaris lance a warmind weapon
Polaris lance should be a warmind cell weapon, we should also make weapons for combat styles as well not just warmind cells

Possibly, or make it part of the perfect fifth perk, both for balances and possibly lore. Not sure whether polaris lance is a warmind weapon in the lore but it did originally come from doing the old warmind dlc escalations I beleive, so it could make sense.

4 RepliesEvery once in a while someone brings this up and everytime I have to remind you, Polaris Lance is NOT a Warmind weapon. It was made by Braytech, NOT Rasputin. Why is that so hard to remember? It’s like you kids have short term memory loss.

1 ReplyAgreed and I think its dragon fly perk should get replaced with fire fly since the explosion is kinda sad. Maybe give it explosive payload as well (this would give it more flinch in pvp and grant it more damage in pve)

Regardless of whether it makes sense in the lore, it would be one of the few things capable of making the weapon worthwhile.

I love using Polaris with bottom tree Sunbreaker and Phoenix Cradle. I use the mod to create cells from the dragonfly and perfect 5th explosions. If you want to set the world on fire, this is what way to go. I'm don't think making Polaris produce cells inherently is needed, but I obviously wouldn't mind if it did.

2 RepliesThat would be cool. I would also like zen moment to be replaced with persistence. This way the weapon grows more accurate and stable the longer it shoots. Its the hidden perk on outbreak perfected (why the gun bullet spread is tighter towards the end of the mag). This would be cool for a weapon that can shoot forever. Both are decent but I'm curious to see how it would perform. Another cool thing would be meganeura built in to the dragonfly catalyst. This makes the dragonfly larger based on the number of crits hit prior. Very powerful explosion on oxygen. I would have it do something special when the explosion occurs on a perfect fifth shot. The meganeura explosion would burn people inside the radius. The damage of meganeura x3 was 172 with dragonfly spec, we'll give it dragonfly spec damage (it's an exotic exploding scout rifle). This on top of the burn damage which totals 30 would be a ohk to any guardian standing next to someone who just died to a perfect fifth crit shot. Idk. Just a couple ideas

1 ReplyIts NOT a Warmind weapon. It is a Braytech weapon made with no input from Rasputin. The Warmind weapons were made by Rasputin himself per accordance with whichever of the protocols it was again that he enacted to do so. If its not directly from Rasputin, it shouldn't be generating Warmind cells. That is something that Rasputin very clearly developed himself and very well could not have had ready yet for Polaris. And even if he did, I doubt he would've shared it. The manifesto he gave us at the end of Warmind tells you all you need to know on how he felt about sharing his stuff at that time. Rasputin only really changed when the Darkness returned and changed his protocol to match. Now granted though, Polaris does just needs to better. But giving it Warmind cells would just be silly and inaccurate and Bungie should really try sticking with their lore for their stuff a lot more and get more creative. Give Warmind cells to Sleeper though, that 100% makes sense and should be a thing. I'm not sure if it'd work on Outbreak but I'm going to lean towards no.

I think it would make more sense for Sleeper than Polaris Lance since the Lance is a Braytech weapon not a warmind weapon
