Exotic Engrams not Dropping New Weapons
Hello all!
For some time now (probably about a month or so), the exotic engrams I get either from Xur or from world drops haven't been dropping new weapons–only armor (with the exception of like two weapons out of probably 10 to 12 exotics received). I was under the impression that only once you get all the world drop exotic weapons in collections (I understand that you won't get the quest, raid, and kiosk exotics from the engrams) then you would get armor from Xur. When I preview the contents of the exotic engrams from Xur, I can see all the world drops that I'm missing in collections, but I never receive any weapons. Anyone have similar issues? Or is this an issue at all? Just crappy RNG? Thanks!

All new exotics are tied to legendary lost sectors.

4 RepliesOnce you obtain all the exotic weapons you can get from random world drops/engrams, then yes, you will only receive armor after that; however, it's not supposed to only give you weapons up until that point. If you have random world drop exotic weapons and armor to earn still, exotic engrams can drop either of them. It would seem you've just been having poor RNG. Also be aware that some exotics might require a certain DLC to drop.

I know xur fated engram use to give what exotic you haven't collected yet. But thats only up to certain years/seasons. Im not sure what year and seasons drop from them but most likely anything from before beyond light should drop but also nothing you could get from a quest will drop from the engram.
