So I got stuck on this ledge and my friends couldn’t revive me because they couldn’t get up. Went to leave to see if I could rejoin and I couldn’t.
Is there anyway rejoin could be enabled?

Edited by Harrow: 7/19/2021 11:45:23 AMActually you should be able to join back if you get an error code. However, following the error code when a player returns to orbit, there should be a sensitive prompt that asks to rejoin previous session. If you bypass the prompt, you can no longer rejoin. Make the prompt idiot proof by adding a strict accept or decline. This would allow players to rejoin with NO advantage of changing gear or loading up on ammo. Edit: Currently there is no way to join back but, this is a possible fix.

The worst is when you die jumping down to the fallen warsat boss, and it puts your ghost on that slope

3 RepliesThat ledge!!! Yeah busted a few of my GM runs last week I’ve found that as I’m a Titan running Thundercrash I can use my super to get to the ledge. Other than that I have no idea sorry
-
4 RepliesI made a clip on how to revive someone on that ledge. :)
-
2 RepliesI died at the drill part (where you have to jump down and fight the dogs) and my revive spot was sent to the top. My teammates couldn’t get back up so they had to make it to the boss room without me so it could teleport my revive to them.
-
3 RepliesThey could have gotten you easily. Theres a way back up there, they just didn't look
-
1 ReplyWe got to the drill where you have to clear the champion at top and jump down to deal with the bottom one then activate the launcher. So all three of us are dealing with waves while at the bottom. One teammate dies and his ghost is at the top where we cannot get back to him. So we had to restart. It sucked but hard to have an option that wouldn’t be exploited.

I legit dont understand how would it make it easier if you change gear and comeback? What are you gonna swap? You gonna swap the scout with a mountaintop? lol. Defense force logic is just hilarious.
-
1 ReplySometimes if your teammate is dead on a stupid spot and u have some encounters to do u can force them with joining allies, works for me sometimes.
-
Could be abused, but I understand both sides on this one.
-
There is a way to revive that teammate! We had the same problem, but we recovered from it

1 ReplyThat point's 4-5 minutes in... just restart. I ran a GM & 2 of us died jumping down the next part & our revive was at the very top where our 3rd couldn't climb to, it was only 6 minutes in so we restarted & finished without a problem.
-
there is a very easy way to get back up there... lol
-
Nah, just restart. This weeks GM takes like 20 mins running it slow. People would just die, quit, rejoin etc. Or have the wrong gear, quit and reload. Honestly just don't die in dumb spots, problem solved.

1 ReplyI got weaseled out of a gm. I don’t understand why I can’t just rejoin and when I rejoin have it cost a revive and the ammo I had before I left stays the same
-
7 RepliesNO , Sorry it's needed . Otherwise people would quit and change gear .
-
2 RepliesWe literally just had this happen and I came here to start a topic. I'll just comment here instead.
-
3 RepliesToo easy to exploit
-
You shouldn't be on that ledge.

Edited by Zakawee: 7/19/2021 3:44:51 PMGMs are supposed to be punishing. We had a guy completely disconnect, so we found another and restarted and finished our next run in a little over 15 minutes. This is supposed to be some of the hardest content in the game, equipment locks and JiP being disabled forces you to be prepared. I also understand that shit happens and you get stuck or DC’d and that totally sucks. But sometimes random unfortunate things like this are just gonna happen. We need JiP to be disabled otherwise people just join at the boss and grab their adept weapons while others have actually worked through a really tough strike. It’s there to protect the integrity of the activity. Sorry for the essay.

It would make Grandmasters completely easy since if you could rejoin, you could change not only character but also loadout. In your photo, where your rez was unreachable, keep your teammates running in such situations. Until joining allies comes, then your rez is pulled with and is usually well accessible.
-
3 RepliesNO CAUSE THEN PEOPLE WOULD CHANGE EQUIPMENT AND COME BACK
-
No. It would be super exploitable
-
19 RepliesNo, if they allowed re-joining then players could modify their gear/subclass and get ammo from a rally flag somewhere. The only thing they need to change is having res ghosts in a "death" zone, like in the path of a drill, or 1-shot lightning, or anything environmental.
-
This has happened a few times in this gm. It's good that there's a rejoin at the end at least.
-
Totally ! So many times team mates get disconnected or something happens to prevent team members coming back .
