I love the borealis but think it needs a buff and this is what I think it should be.
Give the borealis anti Barrier this would activate the ionic return perk it already has. Also give it an exotic version of elemental capacitor that is tied to the weapons energy type.

The elemental capacitor is a nice idea. I don't think it would fundamentally fix the weapon but it's a neat idea that plays into the core mechanics of the exotic.

Borealis is really good, but it’s from a time Pre-Champions. Same with Hardlight. They’re both really good in match-game activities, and that’s what nightfalls were in year 1 and 2. Ever notice how champions tend to take the place of high level or important shielded enemies. There are only a few strikes that actually use all three energy types. Inverted Spire being one of them. Anti-Barrier and having Borealis’s reload perk activate on barrier shield break.

4 RepliesBorealis is actually really good at what it does. I would like to see it have an built in champion mod also but it would be OP. It’s a special version of hard light and also a rapid fire. It is amazing at breaking different kinds of shields not dps or champions. Image if one weapon broke every match game shield and also stunned a champion. Bit much right...

Just replace that bs perk with kill clip, its basically the same exact thing without the hassle of having to get a kill with a matching subclass. Edith: I’m talking about pvp, players have no time to cycle between elements to face off supers to get that damage boost afterwards.

Edited by Knight The Knight: 7/15/2021 7:40:54 PMThe gun is really at a poor instead of the fundamentals it would've been bettter if the round had multiple element effect depending on the element of you class, also the gun would switch to the element you class is in. That would've been better then we'll having a weird gun that has very very limited use. If It was like hardlight that has piercing and ricochet round with no falouf esencially seraph rounds but buffed with 2 extra Ricochet it would've been fine. But having fundamental as it unqiue perk and well a very very conditional trait is not really exotic if u ask me its just another osmosis weapon but you no longer have to use the gernade and with mulligan or somthing like that.

Sweet idea ! Make it useful again …..not just another exotic collecting dust . There are only a few exotics that get used , especially he anarchy which is over used 🤷🏼♂️

I love Borealis, right now its primary perk is worse than genesis. While I don't think anti barrier would be a good choice now (unless all exotics across the board received champion mods), it would be great to see it emerge in the endgame somehow.
