So Where is This Shotgun Range Nerf?

It sure is not in the Crucible .LOL I have seen more people with shotguns today than in a long time. I don't see any range fall off from before at all. So same old same old. Cool :)

    Jesus felwinters ohk is down to 6m and people are still beating this horse. Let it rest. I am convinced people will not be satisfied with shotguns until aggressive frames take two shots to kill at point blank range. And then they will turn around and say sniping with aim assist or on mnk with freight truck sized hitboxes takes skill.

  • Destiny’s shotguns are tickle machines compared to battle field and cod games. Those 2 games give a new meaning by mapped by a shotty. Just wait until more people get the hang of chaperone.

    • It doesn’t matter how many time they need shotguns because shotguns aren’t the problem. The problem is casual players holding close angles and not having map or radar awareness. Sweats have been trying to tell everyone this for the longest time but you people kept dismissing it and saying things like “it’s a crutch.” Shotguns have never been in good in scrims or tournaments, they’re only good in quick play because casuals don’t know how to backpedal and look and their radar and have no idea where they’re standing. The entire time you guys have been asking for shotguns to get nerfed you could have just learned to look at your radar more and you would be fine. Welcome to reality, guess the sweats were right all along….shocker….

        • Lol bungie still thinks removing 2 meters is the solution? Bruh the real way to balance this garbage is to remove scavenger mods from the game. Then Bungie needs to only allow aggressive frame shotguns to be able to one shot no farther than 4 meters. That or only allow all shotguns in the game to only be able to kill through shotgun melee combos.

          • A played a couple dozen rumble games today with a shotgun and it is very obvious. You have to be way more deliberate and cannot rely on your shotgun as much as before.

Cool :)[/quote] They cut about a meter or more off of every shotgun except slugs. Chaperone and duality were also affected by the nerfs.

            • Depending on archetype its between 6-7 meters with good rolls. For reference Felwinter pre nerf had a 9 meter ohk range and now sits around 7 meters.

            • Aggressive frames are still dominant. Lightweight and Precisions are noticeable.

Cool :)[/quote] It’s a joke! I wasn’t a person that wanted shotguns to be nerfed or anything else but Stasis. However I played several games of control if anything there were more shot guns being used. Stasis should be removed from PVP. It still damages game flow.

                • FYI ppl use shotguns not bc they are OP but bc it’s a playstyle that everyone just prefers. Like if ppl just wanted to use OP stuff we’d see bastion and telesto everywhere.

                  • Said this before, range was not the issue. It’s the fact you have mods that gives you more per special brick that allows players to treat the special as their primary. I’m guilty of doing this with Bastion. When you have a CQC weapon like a shotgun and can get reliable 1-2 hit kills on maps designed for it, why change? IMHO, the scavenger mods and special ammo economy needed to be hit ONLY IN PVP. Then again, make the primary game better (2-3 years total of HC meta in this game Bungie, that gets old).

                    Tbh I never really had a problem with aggressive frames. I don't get why they focused on them so hard. Lightweights are capable of so much more and now Astral Horizon is on top

                    • its there. But shotgun range nerfs only impact play when you're in a shotgun duel. You're seeing why nerfs aren't the answer to the "shotgun problem".
