Recently I have noticed that more and more people simply stay AFK in Expunge. Game loads and half the team never move from the spawn spot, leaving all the work for the other half. Or they move to a secluded area and do nothing.
This is not only highly unfair against those in the team that actually want to get the job done, it is also highly unsporting and incredbily frustrating.
Now I'm not talking about people sitting in one place and sniping from there, but I mean people that genuinely do nothing but emotes or literally nothing.

And when it starts booting players that aren’t afk, what then. You know Bungie can’t do anything correctly
-
are they not easy enough solo? I really don't play them, but all seasonal story this season I have done solo
-
Blame bungie for making boring repetitive shit lol
-
1 ReplyActivity takes WAY too long. I dont blame them.
-
Am I the only one happy when players go afk. The content is beyond easy, and extremely hard to compete too get kills
-
More kills for you, let em afk
-
There already is an AFK timer, just like every other AFK timer it's reset when any input is detected.
-
There *IS* an AFK timer already. But, beyond that, who cares. Just think of it as Archon's Forge 2.0.

Expunge doesn't have matchmaking so it's on for joining and not leaving when players afk. Just run it solo. There is no real need for a fireteam in those missions.
-
For expunges, One person can solo it with ease. Having two or three people doesn’t help speed them up at all except at the boss. The faster player will overtake everyone and continuous pull people forward. What else can they do? Nothing they do will help progress the mission until the boss room so why even try?

Ive honestly two manned it before. If your going to sit there and gripe how other players are doing things either throw it or leave. This isn't the first time this has happened and it certainly wont be the last.

Edited by RicAlmighty: 6/30/2021 2:44:13 AMThink you meant override there chief, and what difference does it make? Override should have been a 3 man mode anyway. More enemies for the ones that want to play, get those bounties done faster

Edited by Refrigerator Jax: 6/30/2021 1:17:46 AMExpunge?? Please point me in the direction on Expunge match making cos I'm going to get me some of that

I’m assuming you mean override and not expunge. You can’t blame people for afking like 6 weeks into the season in override. One run takes like 10 minutes at minimum, where you get the chance of getting any weapon or armour piece, likely with a trash roll. This activity and it’s reward system is trash. You can argue that you can narrow down your roll hunting by using umbrel engrams, but the cost of the data to focus the umbralanto whatever you’re seeking for is too high. And even then, you may not get the weapon you want, let alone the roll you want.

We have afk timers. What we don't have is a reason for people to not afk, like participation based rewards, or, oh, I don't know, content that isn't so mind numbing or designed to be run countless times.
-
We already have them but people use macros (certain ones have been known to get people banned), rubber bands on the control stick or just the odd nudge on the controller every so often to avoid getting "timed out".

3 Repliesit does, after 6 minutes or so of not either moving, emoting or shooting, you go back to orbit.
