1 ReplyEvery team death match game has a spawn problem. Really no way around it.

5 RepliesCrucible needs a frigging overhaul. From the spawns, to the matchmaking, the maps, weapon balancing, lag, cheaters. This whole system is fugged. I am not the best player in crucible by far, but when I, consistently, am one of the top players on my team and the rest are pulling under 1.0 efficiency, some even hitting 0.20 Efficiency something is seriously borked.

Matchmaking, spawns, and servers need fixing. I can deal with anything else crucible hits me with but those three are the things that I as a player have no control over.

1 Replybigger maps too, a new map

Crucible doesn’t attract a wide enough audience for the matchmaking to be healthy. Crucibles population is so low for a myriad of reasons. 1. Cbmm vs sbmm debate: there is no in-between with this. If the crucible does NOT have a high population, neither will function as intended. Sbmm will cause pro-mid+ tier to leave out of the continually sweaty games and incredible lag. The ones that are left however, will continually be put into matches against lower skilled players as matchmaking will widen its parameters the longer they wait. Cbmm. Pros to mid+ dominate. Everyone below leaves in droves rapidly. Eventually, the game has to widen its parameters every game, leading to longer wait times, laggy matches, and continually sweaty games as the skill gap DRAMATICALLY increases. It’s now no different then sbmm. 2. Reward incentive: there is VERY little in the crucible to chase for pve and low tier players. Not many weapons earned in the crucible are good in pve. The ones that are, are typically SO DIFFICULT to get the roll that you want (aka trials adepts and the MASSIVE perk pools and low drop chance on playlist specific weapons), the pve players easily consider it NOT worth their time. 3. Cheating and recoveries: these people rule the crucible. They are everywhere in the game, especially on pc. Trials is a wreck because of them and nearly all trials players have more then likely earned adept gear illegitimately. People will pay ANYTHING out of desperation if ANY high tier item is put before them, regardless if there are options just as good. This is a universal truth of human nature. 4. Continually Heightening skill gap. It’s only going to drastically raise as people leave the crucible. Even with the stasis nerfs, it really didn’t add too many more players in the crucible population. People hate getting stomped every game, so they put minimal effort to play and get out as quickly as physically possible. As the population drops, so does the amount of variety of skill in the playlist, eventually leaving it only to the highest skilled players, which will also cause new light players to ALSO avoid the crucible as much as possible. 5. Bounty mentality players: Many people typically don’t play the objective. Remember, they don’t want to be there, so they don’t care if they win or not. They’re getting their 3 games and leaving. They probably have several bounties on them that they would rather focus on them playing the objective. It’s a simple reason why you can’t expect good results in team play when people feel forced to play a game mode they hate. They would rather get as many bounties done as possible before their 3 games are up. 6. Killer mentally: A side product of 5. Some people care only of their k/d and not winning. They want to raise their k/d to the limit and do not care about their Elo and therefore, storm the enemy spawn, probably getting killed in some dumb way, then doing it again. People have to understand that EVERYONE has different personal objectives in their mind when playing video games. Their is no real consequence of losing most of the time, nor anything to entice people to win as much as possible. 7. Servers: Peer to peer networking is outdated. To use it in a game like destiny basically completely nullifies any competitive aspect of the game. People with bad connections have a huge advantage, and with the population so low, your going to run into foreign players ALL THE TIME. Bungie has already stated they are NEVER buying dedicated servers for destiny, so this problem will NEVER be fixed. These are just some of the reasons why the crucible has seen so many problems. The biggest is its population. Every one of these points has DRASTICALLY reduced the crucible population, and it’s just going to continue to drop until the start of next season. But from there, the population will more then likely rapidly drop again, probably to EVEN LOWER levels then last season at the end

Trash, they need to make you invulnerable for 0.5 sec in non trials modes

6 RepliesCrucible needs more than a spawn adjustment. It needs a total rework as it is a God awful mess. I probably would have a better time getting a 1000 papercuts on my nuts, draging them over a bed of salt and then sand papering them to oblivion than playing crucible
-
I know this is not going to be very popular but I think it is better to turn off Crucible and Gambit, the reasons are simple, they are game modes that are abandoned and there are more and more cheats, I hope that with their new IP they do not same

1 ReplyEdited by SHOCKWAVE 134: 6/25/2021 3:28:52 PMAs a top tier/pinnacle level gamer I literally don’t actually see this as an actual issue. You might consider playing with more skill passion and gravitas.
I’ll carry you if you know what I mean $$$
Crucible needs adjusting in terms of everything.

Edited by RumHamLvl9999: 6/25/2021 10:43:41 AMSpawn killing is an age old tradition in online PVP games. At least ones that allow it. The way the game mode is designed encourages spawn killing and map control. This is not a D2 only problem, but is is a common one. An example of the problem being made worse by the design of the game mode:6vs6 on small maps is by design going to have spawn kills and poorly balanced matches most of the time. Comp is so much more chill because of the team sizes for this very reason. I will say D2 PVP is far more enjoyable because of the challenges it presents, where is the PVE in this game is just boring. I would go on about more but I really hate typing into endless voids.

If wielder die, all their Shi& need to disappear from environment. It is very simple.

1 ReplyDude they took one map away ages ago said they change the spawn killing and then they have it back to us exactaly the same. I don’t really think they give a flying f*** about pvp man, I mean a renewed focused speech in that one trailer was a plain lie to our face and it’s just pathetic. Especially when we keep the lights on

3 RepliesIf you play Rumble you can very easily spawn kill players on: Dead Cliffs Midtown Twilight Gap Convergence Altar of Flame Bannerfall In between playing on these maps you'll get Exodus Blue 2 or 3 times in a row (uggggghhhhh) followed by Widows Court where you have zero chance of winning (sometimes the game will be over before my super is charged despite killing more than i die) if a top tree dawn is in the lobby.

1 ReplyNot to say they don’t need adjustments. But Bungie has zero interest in PvP for Destiny. This has been proven over the course of the last couple years.

The challenge is to find someone this hasn't happened to.

1 ReplyThe spawns seem like they were put in at the last minute or maybe the A and B team were on vacation that week. It’s crazy to think the company that created Halo has made so many mistakes with Destiny PvP. The game looks and feels amazing especially on Series X at 60/120 FPS plus the addition of FOV options. I just wish they’d put a bit more effort into PvP. Hopefully they will get around to it in year five. 🙏🏼💠

1 Replyworking as intended unfortunately. It's either this or spawning in front of the last super that killed you.
-
How is the game this old without spawn protection? Should not be able to be killed before you can even start moving.
-
Lol i feel your pain. Last night i kept getting spawned with the opposite team. My team would have that flag, yet when i respawned, 3-4 of the other team would be standing there, melting me. Crucible needs a lot of adjusting, but bungie is showing that they just arent interested. They've shown this with comp, gambit, even some of pve. Hell, i think they've lost interest in the game, but since it makes money for them, they are doing the bare min just to keep it going.
-
Today I spawned into a nova bomb, then soawned again and was immediately gunned down before I could move. Working as intended.

Edited by HollowedWayfarer: 6/24/2021 11:34:57 PMCrucible is plagued with too many issues that makes the experience an overall nightmare. Spawns so bad that it’s not uncommon to die almost immediately after spawning back. Special weapons running so rampantly that they’ve basically replaced primaries. Matchmaking so unbalanced that mercy rules are now the norm. Cheaters still slithering around unscathed.

Just one of many problems. The other day I went into PvP to test my new slug and practice with it. It's been a long time since I put down the sniper for a slug, so I knew I was gonna need an adjustment period. I was also fighting an uphill battle using a 140 in this meta, which normally wouldn't have been a problem, but they do struggle against a team of 120s. My loadout is on me, but every match was so lopsided. I was either mercying the other team or constantly in 5v1 scenarios because my blues either got destroyed, which resulted in a mercy, or were just fully embracing the 120 meta and sitting back. It's like they just didn't care and they were okay with getting spawn trapped as long as they got kills here and there. Teammates are just running to the same lanes and getting killed or getting kills. It's like they just don't care anymore cause odds are it'll mercy. And the spawns. The spawns are so bad. And then there's tons of little things that just add up to an overall frustrating experience, like why in God's name is Way of the Sharpshooter Goldy affected by flinch? It is already countered by emote peeking and doesn't have any armor or mobility. Come on. And then it isn't like I got a single drop of what I wanted either. I just found myself just not caring at all in just a few matches, and my effort reflected that. Really bad deal they got going on there.

https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/alteralateralus/video/62327804 An example of the same thing from D1.

Because every map was made for 8 players or less. 4v4 or 3v3. 12 players is what got destiny screw during destiny 1. Can’t spawn without being shotgun, sniped,or super.
