CBMM lobbies only every fill with sweats because that's where they will have the most enjoyable experience, and casuals will only every join SBMM because they don't want to face Unbroken, adept trials weapon wielding tryhards. P2P is garbage and I can only imagine the potato your hosting these games on has officially turned to a charcoal briquette.
Possible solution; make a freelance game mode option with clash, control, and a current/legacy game mode that rotates weekly. Casuals will have a place to go and pub stomping 6 stacks can go enjoy facing other pre made fireteams.

Edited by TTVMF_MAJIN: 6/23/2021 7:24:17 PMSbmm would be worst actually same way matchmaking is right now. With sbmm it would be on steroids especially with team balancing.

3 RepliesAs of right now im fine with it only being on in rumble, comp, and elim. Till they actually fix other thing in pvp keep sbmm out of the casual playlist as theres no reason every game should be a sweat fest. I remember in undying and dawn when i had to sweat every game to top frag with a positive kd. I consider myself a casual in pvp and I honestly like going in, not having to run sweat load outs cause everyone has to prove themselves worthy of a trials lfg post. Sometimes we get stomped sometimes we stomp. Bungie needs to currently address maps, modes, balance and then i think we can look at lobbies balance. Right now with all the maps we have i swear it feels like there are 5 maps in the whole game and 5 modes that are all equally crap and dont incentivize a large player pool.

Sbmm was dog and rightfully removed, I like how every sbmm post gets downvoted into oblivion yet the ops still think they arnet a minority
-
34 RepliesNobody really liked SBMM because every match was a sweat fest.
-
5 RepliesThey tried sbmm 1 or 2 times already. It doesnt work. So deal with it and instead of wanting the game to change for you.. Change your own gameplay
-
That’s an awfully long way to let us know you’re bad at pvp…

6 RepliesNo. Stop being selfish. Queue times are the reason noone higher up in the skill bracket wants sbmm. This games pvp is way too dead to support sbmm. People like me don't want to crush noobs all day as the reason for no sbmm, we just simply do not want to sit in queue for literally 10-15 minutes every single QUICKPLAY match. And trust me, thats how it was when heavy sbmm was in place. And back then pvp was even way more popular than it is now. With stasis and all the ability spam that ruined pvp over the last year, even way less people play pvp now. Stop being stubborn and look at the facts. Even huge pvp games like cod can't get sbmm right, stop requesting that system for a dead pvp game mode in a pve game. Again, SBMM does not work with this tiny pvp community.

1 ReplySbmm has no place in a casual shooter that uses p2p connections Cbmm is far better for the majority of people
-
1 ReplyOn the contrary, turning off SBMM on EVERY game mode would be the better play in my opinion. It would solve all the issues regarding both the sweats and casual players. It would make going flawless in Trials, or hitting legend in Comp easier for both parties. You could load into game modes where you literally have no idea what you’re getting, providing a better chance for the casuals to get higher win streaks, and make Trials easier for them. Because if they keep trying and trying eventually they’ll get a series of games where they don’t match many sweaties. This would literally solve everything pvp related.

1 ReplyJust give us the option to choose cb or sb and let our decisions speak loud and clear.
-
Pvp population is way to low for sbmm Cbmm sucks for most but not enough ppl to remove
-
2 RepliesI didn't know anyone took pvp seriously in this game
-
I would agree, but lately I'm wondering if it has something to do with the games ability to balance matches.
-
Why don't they just make it optional so that people have a choice and can shut up about this whole matchmaking debate?

15 RepliesEdited by Destiny2Gallows: 6/19/2021 10:22:03 PMI wish people would learn that SBMM SKILL BASED (ie more sweaty), is what we want (I still laugh at the -blam!-ing idiots who say we want SBMM as a crutch when the real crutch (CBMM) is what the streamer crowd wants for their “elite” gameplay). CBMM has me playing it with guys doubled or even tripled my k/d.

4 RepliesEdited by Skill Privilege: 6/19/2021 11:28:27 AMMake your own SBMM. Look at the KDA of all the players when you load into a match, if you're in the bottom half, leave the match. There's no reason for a 2.5+ player to be in the same lobby as a <1.0. If you don't want to be farmed to boost someone's ego, leave and requeue. Exercise free will and choice. Be the change you want to see.
-
no not every. just make comp a "rotating" "playlist". instead of the same 3v3 always.
-
3 match and out. I dislike pvp(in every game) so I don't even bother "getting good". I say keep the way it is now...
then grab a popcorn and watch as pvp slowly dies because of no updates to it
-
Comp?
-
You say P2P is garbage but you want SBMM turned back on? And its just greedy to say you want every single mode to work the way you want it to work. There's seriously something wrong with thinking like that. Just a question. Have you played Control lately for more than the pinnacles? What do you think of the way Control is working.
-
10 RepliesAs long as the best players get a 10x multipler towards xp, valor, bounty/quest progression and loot quality/quantity while the worst players have the standard 1x rate. Sbmm + tiered progression. Fair is Fair.
-
I'm fine with an even split of cbmm and sbmm. The streamers and sweats will complain if they have to play players on there skill, and everyone else will just leave because of piss poor matches.
-
Sure In game modes like Iron Banner or Comp? But casual game modes, no thank you
-
I'm calling it.

Bungie need to address pvp matchmaking I agree, skill based though I don’t know. I’m on the fence with that one. I do know though that balancing is a big issue, I haven’t got the answers. But I feel the current system is broke with some games on Destiny tracker (well most of mine) you have 20% chance of winning, makes you think there must be a better way.
