Most underused weapon type in games?
I've been thinking of doing a new whip playthrough of DS2 again, maybe with a complimentary sweeping dagger.
But then after seeing Whips on the Druchii roster in TW:Warhammer 2 I wondered that whips are quite absent in games.
You have your classics like the sword, axe and mace trinity, but rarely does it expand to more.
Also in modern shooters bows are becoming a standard inclusion.
So I wonder what gameplay you've been missing in games, for me I totes want more whips in games.

11 RepliesMagitech! Like, magical being channeled through technology. The only example I’ve seen personally are the magic staves in Origins, from BlopsII, though from what I’ve heard, Final Fantasy has them, too. It’s always super awesome when it’s there, but it’s so rare. Does “being a vampire” count as a weapon? I can’t think of a single vampire game to come out recently besides Vampyr (though yes I’m aware of the upcoming Masquerades game). We need more vampires.

16 RepliesI have this 40/40 Pyro build I've been using for arena. I'm not saying I leveled Dex but people [i]never[/i] seem to expect the Witch's Locks. Like it's not particularly strong, doesn't hit that hard, but the weapon art. Holy crap. As far as what I'd like to see.... like flails or... chain weapons. Like a kunai&chain, kusarigama, or manrikigusari. Maybe scythes outside of Soulsborne.
