If you take too long to get the third data core for the data collection portion of the mission, you get teleported out of the champion room back to the moon. If the tower thingy goes into the “break the passcode” sequence while you’re still carrying it, you won’t be able to deposit the last data core. The tower goes spawns the floating path to the “hack” action, but after you hold X to “hack”, the platform stay there indefinitely. After a minute or two, the game kicks the person holding the data core (and maybe everyone else, I was with randoms) and gives error code spinach. My router is fine and never has given D2 any trouble.
