Star-Eater Scales loses all stacks of Feast of Light upon teleporting to allies

Just as the title says, all stacks of Feast of Light are lost when teleporting to allies. This sucks.

  • Also loses: Charged with Light. Reconstruction. Recombination. Adaptive Ordnance. Noble rounds. Memento Mori. Ravenous beast. Etc It's a little bit bothersome to lose all of your buffs because a top tree dawn keeps pulling everyone.

  • They genuinely need to widen the joining allies prompt, I'm literally 10ft behind the guy infront and I'm pulled through when it would take a lot less time to just let me get there without the teleport/ loading screen. And let's not forget that sometimes when you get teleported and in the black loading screen your guardian sometimes starts taking damage before you've already spawned which in higher level activities is an absolute joke.

  • Ya, ses are garbage in strikes, only place they're useful now is raids where you can use the banner to start with super then collect your orbs before the dps phase

      It's normal because that is how the game engine works. Upon respawning, all buffs who rely on armor pieces/mods and need reactivation will be disabled because with every spawn the engine basically equips all the armor again on your character within a fraction of a second. The servers sync that progress, yet by doing so, it counts as an I/O state and therefore the buffs disappear. Only permanet buffs/debuffs triggered by certain mechanics, and not your armor, stay.

      • Its one of the reasons I felt 4x orbs was enough. Cause it takes forever to get 8 orbs. Back But what do I know, people say I should suck it up and get use to 8 orbs 😐

        • You also loose all stacks of charged with light, noble rounds, and most lasting buffs. It’s very annoying if you have that one teammate that runs ahead and you are like “welp there’s goes my buffs again”

        • It used to work the same with wendigo too. Buffs disappear when getting teleported. You could have the stacks for big DPS with wendigo and then get teleported and they’d be gone just in time for the boss fight

              • All buffs disappear after fast travel/joining allies. Always have always will…it sucks but it’s just how it is.

                • This is not an issue with Star Eaters. As far as I am aware all buffs (and debuffs) are lost when "Joining Allies". This includes but is not limited to: Empowered, Charged with Light, Kill clip/Rampage.

                  This is normal and wont be fixed/changed. Other examples are Adaptive Ordnance, Charged with Light, Tarrabah's ravenous beast build up, Recombination, ect. basically any thing that is a soft buff.

                  • I dont really risk being teleported anymore ever since it happened to my Izanagi's Burden stacks being reverted after being TP, not a big deal but its just something I've kept in mind just incase i was low on ammo before a big boss encounter.

                  • Doesn’t help when strikes like Inverted Spire have way too many TP points for no reason. Ive been in the boss room and TP’ed back to the top for some dumb reason
